O’Hayer, a rock-solid 5-foot-11, 180-pound catcher from St. Patrick, has committed to Quincy College after he enjoyed a breakout showing during the Fall Prospect program in which he showcased extremely quick feet, strong arm and overall athleticism.
Kane (right), a left-handed slugger from Niles Notre Dame, has committed to John A. Logan JC. Kane batted .345 with 7 doubles, 3 HRs, 34 RBIs, 29 walks and 27 runs scored.
Savas will be headed to Central Michigan. The hard-hitting third baseman has been a big run producer at Willowbrook since his sophomore year. Last season he batted .394 with 28 RBI, 2 HR and 33 runs.
Becherer, who has committed to Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, was a key contributor on Highland’s squad that won the Class 3A state championship and finished the season ranked No. 1 overall in the PBR state rankings. … Bastien, a two-way standout from Duquoin, has committed to Parkland College.
