Alec Justin1. Bay City Western
Team Overview: Bay City Western looks to became the first 3-peat state champion in the state of Michigan's Division 1 history. They return a veteran club that has been postseason prepared by the two state titles in 2013 and 2014. Unsigned senior Alec Justin (pictured right) will look to lead the pitching staff while Jason Clark and Connor Sonnier look to man the middle of the infield. Also it seems as though coach McDonald has always gained a top end pitcher who transferred in over the summer, look for them to make a deep run in June.

Trent Theisen2. Saline
Team Overview: Saline returns a core group of players that have made deep state tournament runs the last two seasons. Coach Theisen has five players committed to colleges with four of those are committed to Division I universities. Losing Kentucky commitment Josh Smith on the mound to injury will hurt, but his innings could be replaced by Michigan commit Ricky Karcher who moved from Florida last summer. The 2015 class is loaded with talent from top to bottom including the likes of Trent Theisen (Ball State, pictured right), Brett Nearing (Grand Valley State), Brendan Nearing (Cincinnati) and Ryan Blake-Jones. The 2016 class will look to brign athleticism at the plate, in the field as well as on the mound and are led by Thomas Miller (Oakland commit), Zach Owings and Richard Hovde.

Drew Blakely3. Gull Lake
Team Overview: Gull Lake made the final four last year in Division 2 and looks to make a run this year which will come within Division 1 as the Blue Devils have moved up. Coach Blakely has a young team but a young team that has been seasoned over their careers. Look for seniors Jarod Burton (Central Michigan), Wyatt Whitman (Taylor), Austyn Knapper and Nolan Butcher to have big years for Gull Lake. The 2016 class is loaded, as it has two of the top 10 players in the state of Michigan, Drew Blakely (Virginia, pictured right) and Caleb Scoles (Toledo). AJ Janssen and Matt Ruge also look to contribute this season for the Blue Devils.
