IMPORTANT: Teams must turn in proof of Insurance with the following listed as additional insured in order to participate in any games one week before their scheduled tournament date.
Add: Prep Baseball Report New York, LLC. 1718 Pinnacle Road. Elmira NY, 14905

  • There is a four game guarantee (weather pending of course) for all teams. There is a chance a couple teams may play a fifth or sixth game. (Some of our tournaments will only be a three game guarantee. That information was available before you registered your team)

  • All teams must be prepared to play Friday by noon-Sunday of the given tournament. We understand teams are traveling from far distances and need later games, however we can not accommodate every request. Our No. 1 priority is getting the tournament in and all the games played.

  • All games will abide by National Federation (NFHS) Baseball Rules.

  • All pool games Home/Away team decided by coin toss between coaches or umpires before game.

  • All games seven innings, two hour time limit (no inning shall start after two hours from first pitch)
  • Run Limit: 12 after four complete innings. 10 after five complete innings.

  • There are no time limits for semi-final and championship games. All games are however at the discretion of PBR staff/Umpires in terms of completing games and finding winners in playoff format.

  • EH/DH is allowed. Lineup Flexibility is encouraged between coaches. As long as coaches discuss and make clear to umpires what they’ll be using in game it is permitted ex.) EH/DH, Multiple EH’s, Re-Entry is permitted if player remains in same lineup position. Our goal is player exposure and opportunity so we encourage hitting 10 players if possible.

  • Courtesy runner for both the pitcher and the catcher may be used at any time but not mandatory. Courtesy runner must be someone not currently in the lineup.

  • Any participant (player, coach, spectator, etc.) ejected from a game will have their actions reviewed by Tournament Director/PBR Staff/Umpires in order to determine if further action will be taken. Such action may include future game suspension or complete suspension for the remainder of the tournament.
  • All Umpires will be treated with the upmost respect, regardless of coaches or spectators opinions during or after games. All umpires are working for the Prep Baseball Report for their assigned tournament and will be treated in such a manor. Understand mistakes will be made, calls will be questionable, and tempers will flair up. Remember however, that our tournaments our about the players and arguing calls will not be tolerated by our staff.
  • Bats: BBCOR aluminum bats or wood bats (-3) are allowed. Nothing else.

  • Tie Breakers: Overall Record, Head-To-Head, Run Differential, Runs Allowed, Runs Scored, Coin Toss will be the order to determine tie breakers.
  • Typically, two or three games (depending on the game guarantee) will be played in pool play followed by our tournament staff seeding out teams from No. 1 – the last ranked out team. Almost always, the top team from each pool will go on to a “championship round” while the remaining ranked out teams play a consolation game to determine where they finish.  ** Any team that leaves the tournament early due to skipping their consolation game is essentially effecting and hurting multiple teams. Teams that leave early will NOT be asked back.

  • Rain/Refund Policy: Weather plays a factor in any outdoor sporting event, the same holds true for our tournaments.  Our staff will always do everything, within reason, to complete each game and tournament to the best of our ability without risking the safety of anyone involved (players, coaches, fans, crews, field integrity).  Should weather play a part in the cancellation of any event, below are PBR’s refund and rain out policies.

+  Should weather cause an event to be completely canceled having played no games all teams will receive their paid entrance fee (aside from a $160 non-refundable processing and handling fee), refunded to their organization within 14 days of tournament cancellation.

+  Should an event be canceled by Prep Baseball Report New York, LLC; for any reason other than weather, prior to the start of the tournament, teams will receive a refund of 100% of their total tournament entrance fee within 14 days of the cancellation.

+  Should just one game be played before an event is canceled, due to weather, a refund will be issued for 50% of the value the participating team paid to play in the event.

+  There are no refunds if a team does not show up or tries to pull out of tournament after they have already registered and paid.

+  Once a team has completed two games in any PBR tournament, that tournament is now considered a complete tournament and no further refunds or credits will be issued.
