Play Off Race: 7A

Post season baseball is here. In the 4A classifications and below district tournaments are in progress, with some teams being eliminated on Thursday and Friday. Regional Tournaments start Thursday, May 5th. For the 7A teams they have one week of conference play left with plenty left to be settled. Lets take a look at each conference and what’s at stake.

Seeding will be determined over the final week. Bentonville plays Fayetteville, Springdale plays Har-Ber, Heritage plays Rogers and Southside plays Northside. Heritage has an opportunity to get in with a sweep of cross town rivals and some help from Har-Ber or Northside.

Still a lot of work left to do to figure out the seeding. Catholic plays Conway and Bryant in this week. If the Rockets sweep, it will come down to points which can’t be determined until the weeks end. If Conway beats Catholic and Catholic beats Bryant then Conway will win the conference. If Catholic beats Conway and loses to Bryant. The Hornets will win the conference and the No. 1 seed. If Bryant and Conway sweep Catholic. They will be co-champions and Conway will be the No. 1 seed in the state tournament with beating Bryant by 4 while the hornets won by 1, in the series.

West Memphis* |
North Little Rock and Central will play for the conference championship this week. Central would have to sweep the Charging Wildcats to be crowned conference champions. A split would be NLR No. 1 Central No.2 and Cabot No.3. If North Little Rock sweeps and Cabot sweeps West Memphis it would come down to runs scored.
