Regional Roundup: 4A

Saturday May 6th we continued to work through the regionals tournaments across the state, and began play in the northeast regional tournaments in class 4A and 3A. Below you will find an update on all regionals, as the state tournament bracket is starting to come into focus.
The field is official set with all 12 teams clinching a birth. Nashville has continued their hot streak and defeated Monticello to advance to the South Regional finals to play the Malvern, a young team that is playing with a lot of confidence after beating Ashdown to qualify for the state tournament. This year the South receives 2 byes in the State tournament so Nashville and Malvern have both earned that, Monday will determine which half of the bracket.
In the North Region, both No.2 seeds knocked off the No.1 seeds in the semi-final, Booneville and Shiloh Christian will meet Monday for the Regional title with a first round bye in the state tournament as a bonus.
The East regional has more worked to do than everyone else, with starting playing a day late. Monday will be a busy day, as they will play the semi-finals and finals on Monday. The winner of this Regional will also receive a first round bye in the state tournament.
