Top Prospects Games: 2019 Position Players

The Top Prospects Games are June 13th and 14th at Fayetteville High School this event will feature 80 of the top prospects from across the state of Arkansas, in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 classes. This event features players from all corners of the state, with advanced skills. Below you will find a group of position players that have the ability to use this event as a launching pad for a big summer on the recruiting circuit.

Alex Cauley OF / 2B / North Little Rock , AR / 2019

Cauley is a 5-foot-11 170-pound outfielder with an athletic frame and build. He runs a 6.95 in the 60. Defensively he plays through the baseball with fluid footwork, he has a quick arm, that throws the ball accurately at 85 mph. Offensively he has a simple line drive swing which produces exit velocities up to 89 mph. Overall a versatile player with an advanced feel for the barrel.

 

 

Peyton Holt SS / 2B / Greenwood , AR / 2019

Holt is a 5-foot-10 175-pound middle infielder. He shows advanced actions with fluid footwork, a quick exchange and an accurate arm with carry accross the infield. Holt runs a 7.09 in the 60. Offensively he uses a swing with fast bat speed and a slight uphill bat path. He produces exit velocity up to 90 mph. Overall Holt is a premium defender with an improving offensive game.

 

 

John Hoskyn C / 3B / Stuttgart , AR / 2019

Hoskyn is a 6-foot 200-pound catcher with a large frame and a physical build. He  shows sound effort and technique blocking and receiving he throws 2.02-2.09 pop times accurately. Offensively he is a physically strong hitter with normal bat speed and the ability to hit the ball to all fields. Overall Hoskyns is a solid defender with a rawness to his offensive game. He has shown the ability to hit for power.

 

 

Brandon Ulmer OF / RHP / Booneville, AR / 2019

Ulmer is a 5-foot-9 165-pound outfielder with a slight frame and an athletic build. Offensively he starts from an athletic stance, he uses a minimum load and stride. He uses a line drive swing, and works primarily to the pull side. He manipulates the barrel well enough to keep it in the hit zone for an extended period of time. He stays balanced through extension. He runs his 60 in 6.69. Defensively, he works through the baseball with fluid footwork. He throws the ball accurately using H ¾ arm slot and a loose arm. He throws the ball 85 mph from the outfield. Overall Ulmer is a premium athlete with a feel for the game.
