Creek Defeats Eaglecrest 7-0, Dakota Ridge Defeats Bear Creek 2-0

Aurora - Cherry Creek High School used the long ball Thursday evening to beat Eaglecrest 7-0.  In the top of the 3rd Andrew Chavez hit a two run homerun driving in Tanner O’Tremba who had doubled in the at bat before.  Cherry Creek got another two run homerun later in the 6th inning from Jimmy Guckenberger.  Quinton Parr threw 6 scoreless innings, and Jake Lawrence closed out the 7th inning for the Bruins.  Cherry Creek has their last game of the year tomorrow at home against Cherokee Trail. Eaglecrest will play at home tomorrow against Smoky Hill. 

Littleton - The story in this game was pitching. Sophomore Ryan Stohr went head to head with senior Cole Carey. There was only 3 hits total in the game, but Stohr got the better of Carey taking a no-hitter into the 6th. The Eagles generated 2 runs in the first inning off of errors. Both teams have qualified for the post season. Up next for the Eagles will be Ralston Valley at home on Saturday for the Jeffco league championship. Bear Creek plays at Chatfield on the same day.
