League play is underway in all classification, here is a look at action from this weekend.

Daily Roundup:

Rocky Mountain 11 Fossil Ridge 3
The Lobos continued their winning way by beating Fossil Ridge on Saturday.  Leading 11 to 0 going into the bottom of the 5th inning, Fossil Ridge scored 3 runs, but couldn’t add anymore in the 6th and 7th innings.  The Lobos were led again by, Spencer Gendreau (2017) who was 2 for 2 with a home run and 3 RBI’s.

Legacy 4 Monarch 2
Legacy scored 2 runs in both the 3rd and 4th inning and went on to win their league game against Fossil Ridge.  Legacy’s DJ Daugherty (2017) had a great day at the plate, hitting a home run and driving in 2 runs.  Josh Chamberlain (2017) was awesome on the mound going 7 innings, allowing just 5 hits to go with 10 strike outs.

Valor 11 Wheat Ridge 5
#1 Valor had to come back to beat Wheat Ridge on Saturday.  Trailing 4 to 3 going into the top of the 5th inning, Valor tied the game up with a run, and then exploded for 7 runs in the top of the 6th inning.  Valor’s Luke Ziegler (2018) had a huge game going 3 for 3 with a jack, scoring 3 runs, and driving in 4 runs.

Pueblo West 8 Pueblo East 4
Pueblo West, ranked #10, scored in every inning but the 1st on Saturday and went on the beat cross town rival Pueblo East.  For Pueblo West, Cody McAteer (2017) was 3 for 4 with 4 RBI’s and Alan Garcia (2017) added a home run for the Cyclones.

Eaglecrest 10 Fort Collins 0
Eaglecrest continued their winning ways by clubbing Fort Collins on Saturday.  Eaglecrest pitcher, Garrett Tisdall (2017) threw 6 shutout innings allowing just 2 hits to go with 4 K’s.  The Raptors Stilian Balasopoulov (2018), Andrew Danko (2018), Zach Sulyma (2018), and Reece Atteberry (2020), all hit a home run.

Legend 5 Chaparral 3
Legend was trailing in the game 3 to 2 going into the top of the 7th inning and then scored 3 runs to beat Chaparral on Saturday in a key league game.  Chaparral scored their 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning, and that is all they could do against Legend’s Brody McCord (2018) who went 7 innings allowing just 3 hits and striking out 7.  At the plate Legend was led by Kyle Cardona (2017) who was 3 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.

Douglas County 6 Heritage 5
The Huskies kept rolling in league play, by knocking off Heritage on Saturday.  The Huskies used a 5 run 6th to tie the game up and then in the bottom of the 8th they pushed a run across to win this critical league game.  Douglas County was led by, Jack Lisowy (2018) who had 3 RBI’s to go along with a long ball.  For Heritage, Jacob Hilton had a great game going 3 for 4 with 2 runs batted in.
