The snow and cold has given way to sunshine and semi-green fields.  Games are underway in the Centennial State, here is a look at action from around the state.

Regis Jesuit 4 Brighton 2

Regis used 9 hits including 3 from Quinn Cotton to score 4 runs and improve to 2-0 on the young season 

Legend 5 Dakota Ridge 2

The Legend Titan pitching staff combined for 9 K’s to hold the Eagle’s offense in check and record the win 

Pine Creek 5 Lakewood 4

Brice Johnson gets his first action for Pine Creek today and goes three innings, Wade Council collects 2 RBI in the win and Ben Schechter goes 2-3 for the tigers in a tough opening day loss. 

Smoky Hill 15 Gateway 0

The Buffaloes use a 6 run 5th and 12 total hits to get by Gateway in 5 inning.

Green Mountain 12 George Washington 3

Defending 4A champs ride Talon Schaller’s 4 for 5 day to a victory as they open the defense of their title. 

Highlands Ranch 5 Poudre 1

The Falcons get a good combined effort from Carter Motz and Ryan Blackwood and spread 8 hits among 7 players to beat the Impalas 5-1 and improve to 2-0 on the season.
