Conference: Front Range
CHSAA Class: 5A
Head Coach: Rick Harig

2014 Final Rank: 4

TOP PLAYERS:
Ryan Madden, 3B/RHP, No. 5 2015, No. 180 Overall, Oklahoma Commit
Tim Ryan, OF, No. 39 2015
Walker Harris, C, No. 75 2015
Jake Thoning MIF/2B, No. 86 2015
Johnny Feauto, RHP, 2015

X-FACTOR:
The Knights lost three D-1 players. The players asked to step in to fill that void will be key to another 5A Final 8 run.

NEW PLAYERS TO WATCH:
No. 44 2016 RHP/OF Jordan Scheufele and 2017 LHP Tye Carpenter LHP. Scheufele brings a mid 80's fastball to the mound and also has an offensive presence. Carpenter is a promising LHP throwing in the low 80's. Both will be asked to fill voids from 2014 graduated seniors

KEY PLAYERS LOST:
Cameron Frazier (Oklahoma), Jeff Clarke (Abilene Christian), and Ryan Kokura (Hawaii Pacific)

STAT RAT:
The Knights had one of the most dominating pitching staffs in recent memory in 2014. They had a team E.R.A. of 2.05, gave up only 94 hits in 133 IP, and had 154 strikeouts with only walking 42.

BOTTOM LINE:
Under head coach Rick Harig the Knight have had one of the most consistent successful programs in the state. During the 2014 regular season the Knights  were simply dominant, and were 18-1 entering the 5A playoffs, and they have key players returning. Starting with No. 5 2015, and 180 overall Oklahoma commit RHP/3B Ryan Madden. Madden could be the top RHP in the state. Madden can live in the low 90's with his fastball on the mound, but he also was recruited to Oklahoma to hit. The 6-foot-3 Madden hit .509 in 2014 with power in his bat. He complimented that on the mound with a 9-1 record and 2.89 E.R.A. in 52 IP. No. 39 2015 OF Tim Ryan also returns. Ryan was a do-it-all OF in 2014 hitting .489 with 6 HR, and 24 RBI's while also stealing 10 stolen bases. With all of the talent the Knights had in 2014 that graduated, their 3-Hole hitter No. 75 2015 C Walker Harris returns. The underrated Harris tied Ryan in the team lead for homeruns in 2014 hitting 6, and also hit .413 with 25 RBI's. No. 89 2015 2B/MIF Jake Thoning is one of the best defensive infielders in the state, but also hit .456 in 2014 with 26 RBI's. 2015 RHP Johnny Feauto will look to be the No. 2 pitcher. Not many people know about Feauto but he is a great athlete (All Colorado as QB) and can pitch. The Knights are one of the teams in 5A just waiting to get to the playoffs. How some of the new players step up will determine how far they go.
