The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

Top Uncommitted 2017 60 Times

Logan Bistrup, Pomona High School, SS/3B
60 Time: 6.60 

A 6-foot-0, 180-pound right hand hitting SS/3B who ran a 6.60 60.  Wide slightly open stance at the plate.  Strong leg drive and rotation on the swing.  Exit velocity was 86 MPH.  Swing path is slightly uphill with good bat control gap to gap.  Showed good feet at third base, cuts the ball off in the hole and shows a quick release with accuracy across the diamond.  Arm velocity was 77 MPH.   

Garrett Gipson, Grandview High School, OF
60 Time: 6.68 

A 5-foot-9, 165-pound right hand hitting OF who ran a 6.68 60. Athletic player with good speed, at the plate he stands slightly open with a long stride for timing.  Hits off his front side with quick hands on the inside pitch.  He showed good control of the bat to all parts of the field with several line drives in the gaps. Exit velocity was 84 MPH off the tee.  In the field he is quick to balls left and right.  Delivers from a high ¾ arm slot with good accuracy to the bag.  Arm velocity was 74 MPH. 

Bradon O’Connor, Legacy High School, OF/2B
60 Time: 6.68 

A 5-foot-10, 153-pound right hand hitting OF/2B who ran a 6.68 60. At the plate he is slightly open with a short stride to get square.  Hands are high in the zone at the start of the swing.  Swing path is slightly uphill with strong rotation at contact.  Exit velocity was 83 MPH off the tee.  Good bat control and lived up the middle during his evaluation round.  In the field he shows smooth actions through the ball.  Release is quick and over the top.  Arm velocity was 83 MPH with accuracy to the bag.   

Nick Ciccio, Luthern High School, 2B/OF
60 Time: 6.70 

A 6-foot-0, 175-pound right hand hitting 2B/OF who ran a 6.70 60.  Balanced at the plate with a short stride for timing.  Hits off his front side with good weight transfer on the swing.  Exit velocity was 78 MPH.  In the field he uses his quickness to cover ground and get in good position.  He shows smooth hands and delivers from a high ¾ arm slot.  Arm velocity was 66 MPH.  On the mound he showed a good three pitch mix.  Throws from an over the top slot and lands in-line with the plate.  Fastball was 72 MPH, he added a 63-64 MPH curve and a 64-66 MPH change.   

Brock Downing, Ralston Valley High School, C/OF
60 Time: 6.80 

6-foot-0, 175-pound right hand hitting catcher/OF. Very athletic, ran a 6.80 60 and showcased himself well behind the plate and in the outfield. Downing has quick feet and release, pop time was 2.02 off a coach and a 75 MPH arm velocity. In the outfield he is quick to the ball and shows smooth fielding actions. Arm was 83 MPH with accuracy to third base.  At the plate he hits from an open stance with a high leg kick for timing.  He is aggressive with his rotation and hands through the zone. His exit velocity was 87 MPH with good power to the opposite gap. 

Michael Keen, Rock Canyon High School, OF/2B
60 Time: 6.80 

A 6-foot-0, 155-pound right hand hitting OF/2B who ran a 6.80 60.  At the plate he is balanced with a slow load back on the pitch.  Strong leg drive and weight transfer on the swing.  Swing path is uphill and the ball had good carry to the left center gap. His exit velocity was 82 MPH.  In the field he gets behind the ball well and comes straight through his throws, arm is over the top and velocity was 74 MPH.   

Jadon Uhrich, Rocky Mountain High School, C/1B
60 Time: 6.80 

5-foot-10, 170-pound right hand hitting catcher/1B. Athletic player with quick actions including a 6.8 60.  Moves well behind the plate, showcased a 74 MPH arm and a 2.05 pop time.  At first base he covers good ground and showcased a quick release on double play balls. Infield arm velocity was 78 MPH.  At the plate he starts in a wide stance with a strong load back and double tow tap on the pitch. Strong rotation and quick hands through the zone produced several balls off the fence. He had an 88 MPH exit velocity off the tee.  

Sawyer Lofsted, Monarch High School, OF
60 Time: 6.86 

5-foot-10, 160 pounds. Bats and throws right. Had a good weekend. Stands in a slight crouch. Wide base and small stride. Line drive hitter. Hands load quiet back. Loses top hand a little through hitting zone. Finishes with high extension.  Still produces line drives to both sides of field. Very good feet in outfield doing a good job going back and coming up on ball. Has long arm action throwing 78 mph from right field. Ran a 6.86 60 time. Improved a lot since last time. Intriguing prospect. 

Mike Griebel, Columbine High School, OF
60 Time: 6.87 

A 5-foot-9, 180-pound right hand hitting outfielder who ran a 6.87 60.  Balanced at the plate with a short stride for timing.  Good weight transfer and a level path through the zone.  Finish is long out front and showed good gap to gap power.  He had a 91 MPH exit velocity.  In the field he has great speed and closes on the ball well.  He showed smooth actions through the ball and throws from a high ¾ arm slot.  He had a 77 MPH arm velocity. He was identified as the best runner at this event. 

Eric Cox, Cherokee Trial High School, OF/RHP
60 Time: 6.90 

A 5-foot-10, 205-pound right hand hitting OF/RHP who ran a 6.90 60.  Starts open at the plate with a slight leg kick and long stride to get even.  Aggressive weight transfer and quick hands with a slightly uphill swing path created balls with good carry to the gaps.  He registered a 95 MPH exit velocity off a tee.  In the field he uses his speed to cut balls down.  He is max effort on his release and delivers an 83 MPH ball with accuracy.  On the mound he gets to balance and rocks back before landing in-line with the plate.  He delivers from a high ¾ arm slot and featured an 81 MPH fastball.  He finished with a 68-69 MPH curve with 11/5 break and a 74-75 MPH change. 

Zach Bosler, Doherty High School, C/OF
60 Time: 6.97 

5-foot-8, 165-pound let hand hitting catcher.  Ran a 6.97 60. One of the fastest times of the day. At the plate he has a balanced, open stance with a slight leg kick.  Good balance and extension through the ball. He had an 81 MPH exit velocity.  Behind the plate he is quiet and blocks well.  Pop-times of 2.18-2.20 with a 64 MPH arm with some accuracy.  

Michael Morris, Cherokee Trial High School, SS/3B
60 Time: 6.99

A 6-foot-0, 170-pound right hand hitting SS/3B who ran a 6.99 60.  Stands balanced at the plate with a long stride on the pitch.  Weight stays back during the swing with more rotation than transfer.  Swing path is uphill and exit velocity was 90 MPH.  In the field he uses his speed to move left and right.  He covers good ground and does a nice job getting his feet under him to make an accurate 77 MPH throw across the diamond.
