Below are the top 60 times we have on record from the 2018 class of players who are uncommitted.

Uncommitted 2018 Top Exit Velocities

Jake Heimlicher OF / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2018

Exit Velocity: 97

6-foot-4, 185-pound right hand hitting OF who ran a 4.03 home to first.  At the plate he has a wide balanced stance.  He has a high leg kick and hitch in his hands on the pitch.  Weight transfer is strong to the front side on the swing.  He showed quick hands to the ball.  Swing path is level through the zone with good extension out front after contact.  Exit velocity was 97 MPH with good bat control to all fields.

 

 

Troy Lincavage RHP / 3B / Legend, CO / 2018

Exit Velocity: 95

6-foot-3, 200 pounds. Bats at throws right. First time we have seen Lincavage up close and he didn't disappoint. Big frame at plate. Bat looks like a toothpick. Toe tap stride, level swing through zone, and impressive bat speed evident with a 95 mph exit velo off tee. 

 

 

Luke Bailey OF / 1B / Chaparral, CO / 2018

Exit Velocity: 94

6-foot-3, 200 pounds. Bats and throws right. First time we got a chance to see Bailey. Athletic and shows pull-side power, evident with the 3 home runs he hit in live round over left center. Slight open stance at the plate and generates good bat whip through the zone. Registered a 94 mph exit velo off a tee. 

 

 

Austin Brady C / OF / Rampart , CO / 2018

Exit Velocity: 94

5-foot-11, 180 pounds. Bats and throws right. Player has some good power potential. In the live round ball really jumped off bat. Has more power if lower half got involved a little more. Starts tall in stance and has slight leg kick. Has slightly uphill swing, bottom hand finish. Goes gap to gap. 94 mph exit velo off the tee.

 

 

Dylon Stricklett 3B / RHP / Brighton, CO / 2018

Exit Velocity: 94 

5-foot-10, 165-pound right hand hitting 3B/RHP who ran a 7.13 60.  At the plate he stands balanced and open with a slow load and long stride on the pitch.  He shows quick hands that whip the bat through the zone.  He uses a strong lower leg drive to transfer his weight on the swing and to produce a 94 MPH exit velocity.  

 

 

Nate Roach C / SS / Steamboat Springs Highschool, CO / 2018

Exit Velocity: 93

6-foot-1, 165 pounds. Bats and throws right.  Ran a 7.60 at this event.  At the plate his swing is simple with few moving parts.  He stays tall through the swing and bat travels level through the hitting area.  Weight transfer onto the front side at contact.  Exit velocity was 93 MPH and his ball has good carry to the gaps. 

 

 

Zac Hanenberg SS / RHP / Canyon City, CO / 2018

Exit Velocity: 92

5-foot-10, 160 pounds. Bats and throws right. Athletic, twitchy kid. Stands tall at the plate and utilizes leg kick stride. Contact hitter to take advantage of speed. Line drives through the infield all weekend. Swing is level through the zone and bat is short to contact. Has some raw tools and skills to work with. Bat speed is there, had a 92 mph exit velo off the tee.

 

 

Tyler Gayle OF / OF / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2018

Exit Velocity: 91 

6-foot-1, 175-pound right hand hitting OF who ran a 4.30 home to first.  At the plate he hits from an open stance with a slight crouch.  Stride brings him in stride and his weight forward on the swing.  He shows strong leg drive and finished on a firm front side.  Swing path is short and quick to the ball and slightly uphill.  Does a nice job of keeping the bat in the hitting zone.  Exit velocity was 91 MPH.  

 

Grayson Swanson OF / RHP / University , CO / 2018

Exit Velocity: 91

6-foot-0, 200-pound right hand hitter.  He has an open approach at the plate with hands forward in the zone.  He uses a long stride and quick load back to get into the launch position.  Weight fires through the zone and swing path is uphill.  He showed good pull side power and good extension out front after contact.  Exit velocity was 91 MPH off the tee.
