Unsigned Senior Spotlight: MIF/OF Javy Garcia, Pueblo West

John Cackowski
State Director

Recently PBR Colorado sat down with Uncommitted 2015 MIF/OF Javy Garcia of Pueblo West. Garcia is a 5-foot-10, 145-pound MIF/OF and hits from a slightly open stance with a smooth load back and short stride showing quick hands to the ball with a short level swing producing an exit velocity of 84 mph. Defensively, threw 72 mph across the diamond with some accuracy from short, high arm slot, and threw 79 mph from the outfield. Was the buzz of the games running a 6.3 60 which could be the fastest time in our state. His second 60 time was 6.38. Ran a 4.1 home to first time. Shows good skills to build on and needs to definitely be a player to follow due to his exceptional speed. We expect Garcia to move up in our 2015 rankings this spring.
