A solid pitching performance and timely hitting throughout their entire lineup led Lakeland to a lopsided 12-2 victory over Ridge on Friday night. 2015 INF/RHP Bryce Lashley threw all five innings and gave up one earned run on five hits. Offensively, the Dreadnaughts were led by 2015 OF Garrett Conner who went 2-4 with two doubles and three RBI’s, and by 2015 1B/3B and Florida State Signee Tyrone Perry who went 2-2 with two walks, a home run, and two RBI’s.

Lakeland wasted no time getting started as they scored two in the first off a deep double to center field hit by Conner. Ridge was able to get one back in the second when 2017 INF/C Nohamel Rios drove in a run on a single. Lakeland quickly gained the momentum back by putting up a four-spot in the bottom half of the inning, one run coming off a single by Perry.

After a scoreless third, the Bolts scored their final run of the game when 2016 LHP/OF and Florida commit Andrew Baker reached on an error. In the bottom half the Dreadnaughts added another run when Perry launched an impressive home run to right that still might not have landed.

Lakeland then put up five in the fifth to give them the win. One run came off another double by Conner and two off the bat of 2015 RHP/INF Troy Howe who also doubled.
