Lincoln traveled to Wakulla Thursday night and came out swinging the bat. In the top of the first inning, left fielder Jordan Curtis led off with a walk and center fielder Willis McDaniel followed with a single to left to quickly put two runners on base for the Trojans. Shortstop Blake Reese was then able to drive in Curtis to put Lincoln up 1-0. Starting pitcher Tyler Holton followed with a ground out to first that brought in McDaniel and Bryson Smith drove in the last run of the inning to put Lincoln up 3-0. In the bottom half, lead off hitter John Weber reached on an error but that was the only runner who reached as Holton was able to get the next three batters out.

After the lead off hitter struck out to start the top of the second inning, Cole McCord drew a walk, Trevor McElroy hit a single, and Jordan Curtis laced a single to load the bases for Willie McDaniel. After a long at bat, McDaniel launched a fastball well over the left field fence for a grand slam to put the Trojans up 7-0. Holton was able to provide a 1-2-3 inning to keep the momentum strongly in Lincoln's favor.

In the top of the third, the War Eagles were able to finally shut down the Trojans with a 1-2-3 inning. Holton was able to answer again in the bottom half with another shutout inning. Trevor McElroy led off the fourth for the Trojans with a backside double in the left-center field gap and then reached third on a wild pitch. Curtis, McDaniel, and Reese all were then all able to draw walks to bring home McElroy to increase the lead to 8-0. In the bottom of the fourth, the War Eagles were able to threaten by loading the bases when Bailey Metcalf led off the inning with a double, Nick Lentz drew a one out walk, and Michael McGlamory hit a two out single, but Holton was able to end the inning with a strikeout and gave up no runs.

The top of the fifth was another big inning for the Trojans that got started by Travis Hall drawing a walk and Cole McCord hitting a double. McElroy continued to stay hot by driving in Hall with a one out single that brought in a run and Curtis followed in stride with a single of his own to extend the lead to 10-0. McDaniel then stepped to the plate and delivered a shot to the right center field gap that cleared the bases and put him on third, giving McDaniel six RBI's on the night. Lincoln tacked on one more run from Bryson Smith hitting in McDaniel on a single to left. In the bottom of the fifth, the

War Eagles showed some heart and scored a few runs of their own to ruin the shut out. Peyton Bennett led off with a single and Jake Bryan followed with a base hit; they both advanced on a wild pitch. Bailey Metcalf then hit a shot to right field that would have been a single but got under the glove of the right fielder and scored both Bennett and Bryan. Brandon Geiger was able to drive in the last run for Wakulla by reaching on an error. Lincoln won the game by a final score of 13-3.
