Olympia scores 6 in the 6th to beat Lake Minneola

Olympia High School and Lake Minneola High School faced off for their last preseason game of the Spring. The Titans pitchers were in command of the game from start to finish. They used three pitchers in seven innings giving up just three hits and two runs. Lead by Florida commit Michael Byrne, throwing three innings giving up one hit, no walks and six punch outs and one unearned run. New Mexico commit Jaylyn Whitehead came on in relief to throw two scoreless innings with three strike outs. Embry Riddle commit  Nick Dearing came in to finish it off with two innings of work giving up one run on two hits and two punch outs.

Olympia matched Lake Minneola a run on an RBI single in the first by Stetson commit Kirk Sidwell. Olympia put another run on the board in the third and two more in the fifth on an RBI fielders choice by Drenis Ozuna and a Sacrifice fly by South Florida commit Cameron Montgomery . Olympia then erupted for six runs in the sixth inning taking advantage of some Lake Minneola miscues and a fielders choice RBI by Brandon Hadley, a two RBI double by Central Florida commit Juan Hillman, and another RBI single by Ozuna along with a two RBI single by Sidwell. Zach Mishriki also collected a hit for the Titans.   

Nathan Sterijevski, Brett Coffel, and Ian Crewe each had a hit for Lake Minneola.

Byrne got his 22nd win of his high school career for Olympia and Nide Shamrell took the loss for Lake Minneola.

Final Score: Olympia 10, Lake Minneola 2
