PBR Future Games Recap

By Doug Freeman and Mike Maerz

On August 4-6th PBR Florida traveled to Westfield, Indiana at Grand Park for the 2016 Prep Baseball Report Future Games powered by Under Armour which featured seven players from the state of Florida. These players received some high level exposure as over 150 colleges and over 175 coaches/scouts were in attendance. Team Select, which the seven Florida players were on, went 3-0 in their showcase games.

All this week we will breakdown each of the seven players with video, game performance, and scouting reports, but here are some quick notes on each of the participants:

2018 MIF Alexandro Bello (Hialeah Educational Academy, FL) who recently committed to the University of South Florida impressed all over the board. He ran a 6.80 60-yd dash time and showed off a strong arm by throwing 87 mph across the infield. During the BP portion of the pro-style workout, Bello showed a good feel for the barrel and consistently squared up line drives to all parts of the field.

2018 SS/RHP Tyler Isenberg (Trinity Christian Academy, FL) really stood out on the mound in his second inning of work where he sat 88-89 mph with his fastball touching 90 twice along with a hard slider with depth at 77-79 mph.

2019 LHP Josh Kinker (Venice HS, FL) threw well in his two innings vs. Team Missouri where his fastball sat 80-82 mph in his second inning where he struck out the side.

2019 OF Tucker Marrillia (Winter Park HS, FL) registered a 95 mph exit velocity off the tee which tied with two others for the top exit velocity for Team Select.

2019 C Jakob Hines (Berkeley Prep, FL) seemed to deliver whenever there were runners on base as he had multiple RBI hits during the showcase games.

2018 RHP Nic Daniels (East Lake HS, FL) was consistently 86-88 mph with his fastball that showed arm side life. He also showed a good feel for his secondary stuff with his slider 68-70 mph and the change up ranging from 70-72 mph.

2018 LHP Brandt Sundean (George Jenkins HS, FL) at 6-foot-4 210 pounds the big left hander looks the part. After struggling a bit in his first outing, he came out much cleaner and under control in his second outing. His fastball ranged from 82-86 mph touching an 87 mph showing a better feel for a change up that ranged from 70-72 mph with some late fading action as well as a sweeping slider at 65-70 mph.
