TAMPA – Plant traveled to Jefferson Friday night to face off in each teams’ last game of the regular season. Unfortunately for Jefferson, Plant was clicking on all cylinders and 2015 OF and Florida Signee Kyle Tucker had a lot to do with that. Tucker attracted 10-15 MLB scouts and was able to keep them happy as he went 4-4 with two home runs and three RBI’s. 2018 OF Connor Scott also helped the Panthers offensively by going 2-3 with a double and two RBI’s. Plant was able to cruise to a 13-2 victory.

Tucker wasted no time as he was batting first and launched a line drive home run to right center to lead off the game. 2016 INF Nick Cerelli also had an RBI single in the first to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead. Plant scored two more in the second, one coming off a Scott single.

The third is when Plant began to run away with the game as they were able to score three in the inning, two of which came off a towering two run home run by Tucker. Jefferson was able to get two back in the bottom half as 2016 IF/OF Luis Corretjer hit a single that drove in both runs. In the fourth, the Panthers took a 9-2 lead, one run coming off Scott doubling to right center.

Plant was able to add two more in both the fifth and seventh to put up 13 runs and get the commanding win.
