Evaluation: 8/7/16- 5-foot-11, 195-pound right-handed hitting catcher. Quiet rhythm, quiet head, explodes through contact, good weight transfer, stays gap to gap, hard line drive and fly ball contact, 86 mph exit velocity. Works around the plate, clean transfer, keeps front side on target, solid carry, good accuracy- keeps throws down, 72 mph arm strength with 1.97-2.1 pop times. Receiving skills have improved, quiet behind plate, good mobility, solid blocker with quickness, occasional low set-up with runners on base.

PBR: What schools have you been hearing from?
HAGEN: Southeastern CC, Marshalltown CC, Iowa Central CC, Wabash Valley CC, Central College, Loras, Iowa Wesleyan, and Quincy University have all expressed interest in me.

PBR: Have you taken any visits? Do you have any scheduled in the near future?
HAGEN: I have taken a visit to Marshalltown and plan on taking visits to Iowa Central and Southeastern within the next couple of weeks.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school?
HAGEN: I am looking for a school that has a good Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, or Business program. Also I am looking for a school that I can compete for playing time as a freshman!

PBR: What were some of the highlights of your junior year?
HAGEN: One of the highlights of my junior year was playing in the WWBA Championships in Fort Myers, Florida. The competition level was unreal.

PBR: What are your goals for this year? 
HAGEN: My goal for this year is to get stronger and get better defensively. Also, I want to help my team qualify for the state tournament.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?
HAGEN: No, I focus solely on baseball.

PBR: GPA/ACT/SAT?
HAGEN: My GPA is 3.2 and I took the ACT on September 10th.
