Welcome to PBR Iowa

Iowa We Got it Covered

With great pleasure, we bring to you Prep Baseball Report Iowa and Minnesota. Our mission in Iowa and Minnesota mirrors that of other state-specific coverage: to provide the most comprehensive in-state information, to promote high school baseball and, ultimately help Iowa and Minnesota prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level. Our goal is to be the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in Iowa and Minnesota.

Although it will take some time to achieve the status of our other 15 states, we are certain we have the right person to thoroughly, accurately and honestly cover Iowa and Minnesota:

Rob Allison.

Allison is one of the most respected recruiters and talent evaluators in the Midwest. In eight years as the recruiting coordinator and assistant coach at Iowa Western CC, he helped lead the Reivers to the Division I Junior College World Series seven times, including three national championships in 2010, 2012, and 2014. Allison finished his decorated coaching career on top, as the Council Bluffs school won the Junior College World Series again.

In his tenure at Iowa Western, Allison established himself as one of the most relentless recruiters in the business, often turning under-the-radar prospects into high-level draft picks. Since 2007, 80 former and current Reivers have committed to Division 1 universities to continue their education and play baseball.; 27 Reivers have been drafted and/or are currently playing in professional baseball.

Prior to Iowa Western CC, Allison spent seven years at Muscatine CC in Iowa, including six as head coach. During that time, the Indians had winning seasons in six of the seven years. Rob's playing career began at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa before transferring to Westmar University, where he earned All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American honors as the Eagles catcher.

Now Allison will bring his baseball experiences and connections to Iowa and Minnesota’s prep baseball scene. Allison will work tirelessly to bring to you the most comprehensive high school baseball information Iowa and Minnesota has ever seen and provide coverage to all corners of the state. But he can’t do it alone. Please email him a [email protected] with college commitments, relevant news, and top players in your area.

Iowa and Minnesota events will begin this summer. Prep Baseball Report events are designed to give players the maximum exposure needed to advance to the next level. Not only will players receive high-level exposure from college coaches, but all players at events will be videotaped, and the edited performance will be hosted online. All players’ profiles, verified statistics and scouting reports can be searched in our expansive player database.

Our flagship state, Prep Baseball Report Illinois, was launched in 2005. Over the last 10 years, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into the authoritative voice of high school baseball in Illinois.
