2013 Top Prospect Games loaded with young talent

With the recruiting cycle seemingly speeding up year after year, the Prep Baseball Report is bringing the Top 2016 Prospects from Illinois and Wisconsin to showcase their skills on one field for college coaches from across the country.

The Top Prospect Games is a unique two day event on July 23-24 at the beautiful all turf Les Miller Field on the campus of the University of Illinois-Chicago. Players will showcase themselves for the PBR scouting staff as well as compete in three high level games featuring the best 2016 prospects from across the two states.

Here is a look at the Top Prospect Game’s two day schedule:

TUESDAY, JULY 23
Morning Session: Teams 1 and 2
8-8:30 am – Players Check-in
8:30-8:50 am – Stretch
9-10 am – Team Batting Practice
10:10-10:30 – Team 1 Extended INF/OF
10:30-10:50 – Team 2 Extended INF/OF
11 am -1:15 pm – 7 inning Game

Afternoon Session: Teams 3 and 4
Noon-12:30 – Players Check-in
1:40-2 pm – Stretch
2-3 pm – Team Batting Practice
3:10-3:30 pm – Team 3 Extended INF/OF
3:30-3:50 pm – Team 4 Extended INF/OF
3:55-6 pm – 7 inning Game

WEDNESDAY, JULY 24
Game 1: 8:45-11 am (Team 1 vs. Team 3)
Game 2: 11-1:15 (Team 2 vs. Team 3)
Game 3: 1:30-3:45 (Team 1 vs. Team 4)
Game 4: 4 pm-6 pm (Team 2 vs. Team 4)

The rosters for the Top Prospect Games are loaded to say the least. 16 of the 25 ranked players in Illinois’ and Wisconsin’s 2016 classes will be in attendance at this prestigious event with many more eventual ranked players to emerge.

With so much talent packed into one event the PBR scouting staff will also be able to use this event as an identifier for the 2014 Midwest Future Games, Powered by Under Armour.

There is no doubt you will be hearing and seeing these names quite often over the next few years, many of which will be high level recruits not only in the Midwest but across the country.
