Last year’s event featured a number of impressive prospects, many of whom are currently ranked in the Class of 2017. The best of the bunch may have been RHP Connor Peplow (Plainfield North HS). Peplow, currently ranked No. 25 in the 2017 class, sat 86-88 mph at the event and was selected to represent Team Illinois in the PBR Future Games. Peplow is currently ranked 25th in the state of Illinois and committed to Illinois State.

INF Ryan Altenberger (Morton HS) was also at the event and is one of the top uncommitted position players still available in the 2017 class.  Toolsy outfielder Stephen Mogged (Lakes Community HS), ranked No. 71 in Illinois, ran a 6.67 and was 88 mph at last year’s event and has since committed to Southern Illinois.

This year’s event currently features over 50 uncommitted 2018 prospects. CLICK HERE for the roster. One of the top prospects who will be in attendance is LHP/OF Kyle Salley (Homewood-Flossmoor HS). Left/left Salley, currently ranked No. 40 in Illinois, pitches in the low 80’s and has three-pitch feel on the mound. Salley also flashes athletic actions and has been clocked at 88 mph in the outfield.

Catcher Ryan Hampe (Sandburg HS), currently ranked No. 52 in the Illinois’ 2018 class will also be participating on Wednesday. Hampe, is a durably built catcher that has flashed pop times of 2.04-2.16 in the past.
