Alex Luka’s
two-run single in the bottom of the sixth broke a 3-3 tie. Jake Rosley went the distance, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out four to earn the victory. Soria hit a home run for St. Rita.

No. 2 Mount Carmel 15, St. Joseph 2
Bobby Seymour
had two doubles, two RBI and two runs and A.J. Lewis added a two-run triple for the Caravan. Alek Thomas droe in three runs for Mount Carmel.

No. 3 Jacobs 7, Barrington 5
Two wild pitches and a bases-loaded walk by Addante accounted for Jacobs’ three seventh-inning runs in the comeback victory. Addante also singled, doubled and scored. Wilson had three hits for the Golden Eagles.

No. 4 St. Laurence 11, Bishop McNamara 0
Angel Sandoval
pitched five dominant innings and Jake Diaz hit a home run for the Vikings. Tommy Farrell went 3-for-3 and walked twice, scored twice and drove in two. Sandoval allowed one hit while striking out five and walking two.  

No. 5 Brother Rice 8, St. Ignatius 5
Mike Massey
and Joe Preusser hit home runs for Brother Rice. Massey hit a solo shot in the first inning to give the Crusaders the lead for good, while Preusser’s two-run homer in the third made it 6-1. Brett Bagus went 2-for-2 in the victory.

Buffalo Grove 8, No. 7 Nazareth 7
Benjamin Moran
and Chase Marsh had three hits apiece and the Bison played clean defense and made Nazareth pay for its four errors. Brandon Bossard had two hits, two RBI and two runs for Nazareth.

No. 9 St. Charles North 14, Streamwood 4
Jake Chantos
and Ralph Rhoades went a combined 5-for-5 with five runs scored for the North Stars. Luke Corcoran and Zach Fick each went 2-for-2 in the victory.

Connor Nelson
and Dali Durazo scored three runs apiece and six OPRF pitchers combined on the three-hit shutout.

No. 12 Providence 5, Marist 1
Connor Hilty
pitched a three-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks for the Celtics. Mike Madej went 3-for-3 with a triple, two runs and two RBI.

Plainfield East 3, No. 13 Plainfield South 2
Michael Sullivan
had an RBI in each of his first two at-bats as East did all of its scoring in the first three innings and held on to take two out of three from its cross-town rival. Drew DeMumbrum had two hits and scored two runs for East. Mitch Koran allowed two runs, one earned, on six hits in five innings for the win. Logan Schmitt survived three walks and a hit to pitch two scoreless innings for the save.l

No. 15 Sandburg 8, Lincoln-Way Central 2
Mario Babic
allowed two hits in four scoreless innings and Eric Papierski had two hits and two RBI for Sandburg. Kevin Cronin reached base three times and scored two runs in the win.

No. 17 Lincoln-Way North 9, Homewood-Flossmoor 8
One out away from a Homewood-Flossmoor victory, Luke VanArtsen came through with a two-run double in the top of the seventh. Tom Szczasny went 2-for-4 with four RBI for the Phoenix. Percy Walters doubled twice and drove in four for H-F.

No. 19 Waterloo 5, Highland 0
Noah Thaggard
pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk. Jordan McFarland reached base four times and scored three runs in the victory. Erik Kaiser had two RBI.

Coal City 6, No. 23 Joliet Catholic 2
Matt Gubelman
pitched a five-hitter and went 2-for-3 with three RBI for the Coalers.

Plainfield Central 8, Minooka 5
Kyle Cockrell, Matt Bunetta
and Justin Willner had RBI singles as Plainfield Central scored five in the top of the seventh to avoid the three-game sweep. Cade Thornberry struck out three and allowed one baserunner in two innings to win in relief.

Oswego 8, Oswego East 5
Colton White
went 3-for-3 with two RBI and Konor Gengler added three hits for Oswego.

Stagg 12, Andrew 2
Max Downs
hit two home runs and went 3-for-3 with four RBI and four runs scored in the victory.

Lemont 6, Richards 5
Casey O’Brien
went 4-for-4 with two RBI and Lemont jumped out to a 5-0 lead after three innings. Niles Gall had two hits and an RBI for Richards.

Bremen 11, Evergreen Park 3
Winning pitcher Cody Esparza had three hits and Mike Fuentes scored four runs for Bremen. Esparza allowed two earned runs on five hits in six innings.

Shepard 8, T.F. South 1
A.J. Alarcon
struck out eight in six innings and Jack Carberry went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI for Shepard. Logan Couture added two hits and two RBI as Shepard improved to 4-0 in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Metea Valley 6, Neuqua Valley 4
Blake Nichols
and Jack Feeley had two RBI apiece and Metea scored three runs in each of the first two innings.

Lake Park 7, Waubonsie Valley 1
A.J. Ackerley
struck out 10 in a complete-game victory and Joe Kennedy and Michael Nielsen hit home runs for the Lancers. Ackerley allowed six hits and two walks.

Wheaton North 11, Wheaton Warrenville South 7
Zach Colangelo
went 4-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and three runs for the Falcons. Ryan Muehfelt and Casey Becker had three hits each as North got 10 out of its first three hitters.

Hinsdale Central 5, Willowbrook 2
Andrew Zapka
drove in two runs and Hinsdale Central scored three in the second to take the lead for good. Eric Stephens allowed three hits in five innings and Spencer Tate got the final six outs for the save.

Lyons 8, Downers Grove South 2
Emilio Guitron
went 3-for-3 with two RBI and Michael Courtney added two hits for the Lions.

Proviso West 11, Morton (Cicero) 9
West scored nine runs in the bottom of the sixth to erase a 9-2 deficit.

Sacred Heart-Griffin 3, Glenwood 2
Austin Chapman
struck out 11 in the complete-game victory, allowing six hits and four walks. John Plattner had two hits and an RBI. Glenwood’s Karson Aherin pitched a three-hitter but was hurt by two unearned runs.

Rochester 12, Springfield Southeast 2
Ben Chapman
had four RBI and Tyler Fitzgerald scored four runs for the Rockets, who stole nine bases in the victory. Fitzgerald and Adam Bunch had three steals apiece.

Maroa-Forsyth 3, St. Thomas More 0
Will Horve
pitched a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts and one walk for Maroa-Forsyth. Colton Cavanaugh had a two-run double as Maroa-Forsyth did all of its scoring in the third inning.

Centennial 6, Bloomington 3
Dalton Webber
and Alec Thomas belted back-to-back triples in the six-run first inning for Centennial. Luke Smith allowed one earned run on seven hits with seven strikeouts and one walk in the complete-game victory.

Peoria Notre Dame 7, Normal West 3
Brady Hough
hit a two-run homer and Alex Skibba went the distance for Notre Dame. Skibba allowed six hits and no walks while striking out six. Nate Beal went deep for West.

St. Joseph-Ogden 12, Unity 2
Dalton Parker
pitched a two-hitter and struck out eight in the six-inning victory. Colton Carr had three RBI.

Mahomet-Seymour 6, Eureka 4
Alex Jackson
struck out eight in a four-hitter and Tom Kenney had two hits and scored two runs in the victory.

Richwoods 7, Pekin 4
Max Rumpf
and Alex Peters hit home runs for Richwoods.

Loyola 11, Fenwick 1
Kevin Knapp
pitched a four-hitter with six strikeouts and Sean Tully drove in four runs for the Ramblers. Will Jackson had two hits and two RBI.

DePaul Prep 8, Marmion 7
Pinch-hitter Zac Stanley singled in the bottom of the 10th and scored on an error to give DePaul a marathon victory. Tyler Elliot pitched three scoreless innings to win in relief. Grayson Sanchez had three doubles and three RBI.

Highland Park 1, Waukegan 0
Highland Park prevailed despite striking out 18 times against Waukegan’s Jean Casanova and being out-hit 9-3. Casanova allowed two hits and walked three in 7⅔ but did not factor into the decision. Jordan Mendiola pitched seven scoreless innings and scored the lone run on a ground ball after walking, stealing second and going to third on Jack Greenwald’s single.

New Trier 5, Deerfield 4
Matt Kann’s
single in the bottom of the ninth plated pinch-runner Spencer Campbell and gave Trevians coach Mike Napolean career win No. 800. Will McNulty had two hits and drove in three runs for New Trier.

Maine South 11, Maine East 1
Jimmy O’Brien
pitched a one-hitter with nine strikeouts in the five-inning victory.  

Glenbrook North 8, Evanston 1
Tommy Gertner
pitched a four-hitter with nine strikeouts and no walks. Mitch Schermerhorn had two hits and two RBI and Jimmy Karfis reached base four times for the Spartans.

Glenbrook South 8, Maine West 7
Johannes Aquino
drew a bases-loaded walk for the walk-off victory. Andrew Kaczmarek had three hits for the Titans. Alex Zimmerman drove in two runs for Maine West.

Glenbard East 6, Elk Grove 4
Winning pitcher Joey Moore allowed one earned run in six innings and went 2-for-3 with a double. Michael Sebby drew three walks and pitched the seventh inning for the save.

Batavia 8, Larkin 2
Luke Golson’s
no-hit bid ended with two outs in the seventh, then Craig Rowland finished off the one-hitter for the Bulldogs. Tyler Kledzik went 3-for-5 with three RBI.

Glenbard South 3, Chicago Christian 0
Dan Opem
pitched a four-hitter and Lucas Lorusso went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI for South.

Hampshire 6, Crystal Lake Central 4
Noah Schrader
went 3-for-4 and had the go-ahead hit, an RBI double that gave the Whip-Purs a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the sixth. Jacob Manning retired the final four batters in order to win in relief.

Crystal Lake South 7, Grayslake North 2
Nick Van Witzenburg
hit a home run and Michael Swiatly went 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs for the Gators. Tyler Carlson allowed just one hit in 5⅓ innings for the win.

Carmel 7, Libertyville 6
Eddie Pietschmann’s
two-run homer in the top of the sixth gave the Corsairs a 7-5 lead. Andrew Rapplean had two hits and scored three runs for Carmel. Brian Murphy hit a home run for Libertyville.

Antioch 6, Vernon Hills 5
Thomas Bowe’s
RBI single capped Antioch’s two-run rally in the bottom of the seventh. Tyler Glassman pitched the final three innings to get the win. Connor McNamara had three hits for Vernon Hills.

St. Viator 8, Grayslake Central 1
Cole Kmet
and Dan Sullivan homered for the Lions. Sullivan had three hits and scored three runs.

Conant 14, Bartlett 8
Jimmy Brady
went 3-for-3 with a home run, four RBI and four runs for Conant. Jim McGlaughlin also went deep and drove in four in the victory. Mike Prang hit a home run for Bartlett.
