No. 6 St. Laurence 12, No. 1 Mount Carmel 3
Jake Diaz
(2-for-3, three RBI) and Brian Lyle (2-for-4, two RBI) hit home runs and Joe Vascik pitched a complete game as St. Laurence earned a CCL Blue split with PBR’s freshly minted No. 1 team. Vascik (5-0) scattered six hit and three walks while striking out six. Jimmy Burnette had three hits and scored three runs in the victory.

No. 8 Providence 12, No. 3 St. Rita 2
Jackson Dvorak
and Matt Waznis each went 3-for-3 with three RBI and the Celtics pounced on St. Rita pitching for four runs in the second and six more in the third en route to a five-inning victory. Brendan O’Hara went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs and Zack Pych had two hits and scored three runs for Providence.

No. 9 Sandburg 11, Homewood-Flossmoor 3
Eric Papierski
went 4-for-5 with two doubles and five RBI to lead Sandburg’s 13-hit attack. Andy Gaytan also went 4-for-5 with two doubles and Evan Tenuta had four RBI in the victory. Montreal Blade and Korry Howell hit solo home runs for H-F, which managed just three hits off Sandburg’s Jack Wolfe (4-0).

No. 10 Edwardsville 10, Wesclin 1
Cole Cimarolli
had two doubles and a triple and Tyler Stamer homered for Edwardsville. They drove in three runs apiece. Andrew Frank allowed a run on three hits in four innings for the win.

No. 11 Lincoln-Way North 8, Lincoln-Way West 7
Nick Figus
(2-for-4) and Tyler Strzelczyk (3-for-4) hit home runs as the Phoenix rallied from a 6-1 deficit with four in the six and two in the top of the seventh. Figus hit a two-run homer to cut Central’s lead to 7-6 in the sixth, and Strzelczyk tied it with a solo shot in the seventh before Luke Van Artsen singled home Luke Bertolani with the go-ahead run.

No. 14 St. Francis 9, Marmion 3
Tim Lilly
and Mike Leach each had two hits and two RBI for St. Francis. J.P. Clifford allowed two earned runs on five hits while striking out six in the victory.

No. 15 Hinsdale South 4, Willowbrook 3
Danny Schimmel
singled in the eighth inning and manufactured the winning run as the Hornets swept the series with three one-run victories.

No. 16 Nazareth 9, Benet 7
Carson Bartels
and Kyle Kane had two-run singles as the Roadrunners rallied for five runs in the top of the seventh.

No. 18 Lemont 5, Oak Forest 3
Casey O’Brien
hit a two-run homer in the third inning as Lemont battled back from an early 3-0 deficit. Ryan Sublette allowed three runs on six hits in six innings and Nate Madej pitched a perfect seventh for the save.

No. 20 Waterloo 13, Mascoutah 2
Tyler McAlister
pitched all five innings and went 4-for-4 for Waterloo. He doubled twice and allowed two unearned runs on six hits. Jordan McFarland went 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs.

Oswego 7, No. 21 Joliet Catholic 5
Mitch Gwodz
singled home Cole Aughenbaugh with the go-ahead run as Oswego rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh. Konor Gengler went 3-for-3 for the Panthers. Colton White had two hits and pitched a scoreless seventh for the save.

Lyons 1, Hinsdale Central 0
Griffin Schultz
pitched a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts and two walks for Lyons. John Miranda singled home Mike Courtney with the game’s lone run in the bottom of the first as the Lions took the rubber game of the three-game series. Eric Stephens pitched a four-hitter for Hinsdale Central.

Oak Park 6, York 0
Hank Christie (5-0)  pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts and no walks as the Huskies salvaged the final game of the three-game series. Connor Nelson hit a three-run homer, his sixth of the season.

Addison Trail 4, Downers Grove South 0
Nick Villasenor
pitched a one-hitter with six strikeouts and three walks. Ricky Perez went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs.

Bolingbrook 6, Stagg 1
T.J. DeHerrera
had two hits and two RBI and Jacob Nagel scattered eight hits in five innings for the win.

Lincoln-Way East 8, Lockport 3
Nick Tortorici
allowed two earned runs on four hits in the complete-game victory. Hunter Smith hit a home run for the Griffins.

Lincoln-Way Central 10, Bradley-Bourbonnais 8
Vinny Baez
went 3-for-3 with three RBI, Ryan McWilliams (3-for-4) had two doubles and two RBI and Central scored eight runs in the second inning.

Joliet West 8, Joliet Central 7
Adam Scharf
went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI and Colton Foote struck out six and did not allow an earned run in 2 ⅔ relief innings to save the win for Matthew Meier.

Minooka 4, Glenbard South 1
Logan O’Brien’s
two-run single in the top of the first gave Minooka the lead for good. Brendan Rossiter allowed a run on five hits in four innings and David Scott pitched three innings of no-hit relief for the save.

Reed-Custer 5, Peotone 1
Travis Schoonover
hit two solo home runs and Brent Headrick struck out 12 while allowing four hits and no walks in the complete-game victory.

St. Ignatius 13, Fenwick 3
Dylan Gilbert
went 3-for-3 with a home run, four RBI and three runs for the Wolfpack. Alex Brennan went the distance, allowing three hits in the five-inning victory. Ethan Gerstner went 2-for-2 and drove in all three Fenwick runs.

Marist 7, Marian Catholic 6
Zach Sefcik’s
home run in the top of the seventh gave Marist a 7-4 lead, and Marian’s rally in the bottom of the seventh fell just short. Colin Meehan had a two-run double for Marist.

St. Patrick 13, St. Viator 3
Ryan Gillespie
went 4-for-4 with two RBI and three runs and Trevor Heinlen belted two triples for St. Patrick.

Kenwood 8, Solorio 4
Taylor Jackson
and Devon Tukes hit home runs for Kenwood.

Hubbard 10, Juarez 6
Ramon Barbosa
homered and Josh Mayorga went 2-for-2 with three runs and struck out seven in three perfect innings on the hill.

Oak Lawn 3, Evergreen Park 0
Chad Cwik
pitched a four-hitter with six strikeouts to improve to 4-1 for Oak Lawn. Patrick Slattery belted his third homer of the season.

Kaneland 7, Sycamore 4
Jack Marshall,
winning pitcher Matt O’Sullivan and Luke Calabrese hit home runs for Kaneland. O’Sullivan allowed three earned runs on five hits in the complete game.

Hampshire 2, Woodstock 0
Jacob Manning
pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts and one walk for the Whip-Purs. He also went 2-for-3 and scored one of Hampshire’s two fourth-inning runs.

Althoff 3, Breese Central 2
Matt Schroeder singled home Jack Toenjes with the winning run as Althoff scored three times in the bottom of the seventh. Jake Frazier allowed two unearned runs on four hits in six innings for Althoff.

Morton 10, Pekin 0
Vinni Massaglia
pitched a five-inning no-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk for Morton. Collin Mormann went 4-for-4.

Illini West 10, Brown County 9
Jackson Porter
went 3-for-3 with four RBI for Illini West. Kennedy Gooding added three hits in the victory.

Barry Western 8, Griggsville-Perry 1
Matt Shover
pitched a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and one walk and Jadon Bryant had two hits and scored three runs in the victory.

Yorkville 10, Metea Valley 9
Max Warren
and Ty Liaromatis had four hits, three RBI and three runs between them and Yorkville hung on after scoring seven times in the second inning.

Geneseo 16, Rochelle 1
Jacob Van Doren, Cole Hunzeker
and Cade Humphries homered for Geneseo.

Boylan 11, Jefferson 1
Dylan Johnson
homered and had four RBI and Ronan Jansen pitched a four-hitter with seven strikeouts and no walks in the six-inning victory.

Limestone 3, Metamora 1
Bryce Meyer
struck out 11 in the complete-game victory, allowing an unearned run on three hits while walking two. James Welton went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBI.

Princeville 29, Stark County 14
Austin Brodine
went 5-for-6 with six RBI, Justin Janssen went 3-for-6 with a home run and Princeville scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to pull away.

LaSalle-Peru 10, Sterling 7
Kyle Christman
went 4-for-4 with five RBI for LaSalle-Peru.
