No. 2 Plainfield North 11, Neuqua Valley 3
Zach Jarosz
went 3-for-5 with three RBI and Joshua Heckman added two hits and drove in four runs for North. Alexander Steinbach went 3-for-4 with two doubles in the victory.

Plainfield South 13, No. 3 O’Fallon 3
Nick Enloe
had an RBI single and a three-run triple as Plainfield South broke open a close game with a nine-run eruption in the bottom of the fifth. Jordan Mikel went 3-for-3 and Cody Phillips added two hits and four RBI in the five-inning victory.

No. 8 St. Charles North 4, Batavia 3
Brendan Joyce
doubled home the go-ahead run as the North Stars scored single runs in the bottom of the fifth and sixth to overcome a 3-2 deficit. John Legare went 3-for-3 and Luke Corcoran had two hits, stole two bases and scored two runs in the victory. Tyler Kledzik hit a two-run homer in the top of the fifth for Batavia.

No. 21 Mundelein 4, Warren 0
Brendan Murphy
struck out 13 and walked none in the five-hit shutout. Murphy added two RBI as the Mustangs avenged a pair of regular-season losses to their North Suburban Lake rival.

CLASS 3A SECTIONAL FINALS

Freeburg 9, No. 12 Waterloo 6
Keegan Baxmeyer
hit a two-run homer in the first inning and Freeburg added six in the fifth to pull off the upset. John Hilpert had two hits in the victory. Four of Freeburg’s runs were unearned. Erik Kaiser went 2-for-4 with three RBI for Waterloo.

Sycamore 4, No. 18 Rockford Christian 3
James Marcinkowski
singled home the winning run in the bottom of the seventh as Sycamore rallied for two in the bottom of the seventh to spring the upset. Michael Beaudoin allowed one earned run on six hits while striking out nine and walking two in the complete-game victory.

No. 20 Springfield 7, No. 24 Champaign Centennial 4

No. 22 Lemont 11, Herscher 1
Garrett Acton
pitched a two-hitter and hit a home run in the five-inning victory. He struck out eight, walked one and went 3-for-3 with five RBI. Christian Krakar went 2-for-3 with three RBI for Lemont.

St. Viator 5, Lakes 3
Kevin Napoleon
allowed three runs on four hits while striking out nine and walking none in the complete-game victory. Mike Ragauskis had a two-run single as Viator scored three times in the bottom of the fourth to erase it's 3-0 deficit. Brett DeSelm (3-for-3) delivered an RBI single an inning later to give the Lions the lead and Cole Kmet added a solo homer in the sixth.

Fenwick 4, Montini 3
Anthony Cavalieri's
two-run single in the top of the sixth plated the tying and go-ahead runs. Casey O’Laughlin went 2-for-3 and drove home the Friars’ other two runs. Paddy Dwyer retired all six batters he faced to nail down the victory.

De La Salle 15, Evergreen Park 6
Justin Jackson
went 3-for-3 - all doubles - and Josh Figueroa 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBI for the Meteors. Fernando Moreno added two doubles and Teo Marquez went 3-for-5 with a home run in the victory.

Limestone 12, Pontiac 4
Sam Koeppel
went 4-for-4 with five RBI for Limestone, which trailed after six innings before putting up an 11-spot in the top of the seventh.
