Sam Seneker
and K.C. Simonovich each had two hits and an RBI for the Hilltoppers. Drake Fellows, Antonio Saldana and George Manikas combined on the shutout. Fellows struck out eight in three innings.

No. 1 Plainfield North 4, Morris 0
Tyler Garrity
had an RBI triple and Brandon Knox (2-for-3, 2 RBI) added a run-scoring doible as Plainfield North broke a scoreless tie with two in the top of the sixth. Josh Garner combined with Garrity on a four-hitter. Garner struck out seven in 4⅓ and Garrity allowed one hit in 2⅔ innings of relief to pick up the win.

No. 17 Jacobs 7, Schaumburg 1
Stevie Krueger
went 4-for-5 and Evan Liebau, Brad Demkovich and Casey Dennison combined on a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and three walks. Dennison struck out five in two innings and drove in a pair of runs.

No. 23 Marist 7, Lincoln-Way Central 4
Tom O’Mara’s
two-run double keyed a four-run fourth inning that gave Marist a 5-2 lead. Brian Wood doubled twice, drove in a run and scored another for Marist.

Elk Grove 3, Geneva 1
Christian Camacho
pitched a five-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks and Elk Grove broke through with three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Chuck Fleming had an RBI single in the rally. Jack Wassel had two hits and Mitchell Merges scored an unearned run in the second inning for Geneva.

Hampshire 6, Belvidere North 0
Jacob Manning
pitched three-hit ball in five innings and Pawel Barnas drove in three runs for the Whip-Purs.

Cobden 11, Murphysboro 2
Dylan Duty
went 3-for-4 with a home run and seven RBI and Logan Splat went 4-for-4 for the Appleknockers. Brandon Miller hit a solo home run for Murphysboro.

Crystal Lake South 11, Rockford Boylan 0
Nick Wolski
went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI and Michael Swiatly hand an RBI triple and scored twice in the victory.

Mahomet-Seymour 8, St. Thomas More 3
Alex Jackson
broke a 3-3 tie with a solo home run in the top of the eighth and winning pitcher Tom Kenney (3-for-4) added a three-run triple later in the inning as Mahomet-Seymour broke it open. Kenney pitched the final three innings, allowing no runs on one hit while striking out seven. 

Herscher 8, Kankakee 2
Tyler Fisher
homered, doubled and drove in four and Luke Hertz pitched six strong innings, allowing no earned runs on three hits while striking out six and walking none. 

Antioch 12, Marengo 2
Connor Geidner
went 4-for-4, scoring twice and driving in two and John Petty and Ben Gutke had two RBI apiece for Antioch.

Plainfield East 7, Jacksonville 6
Plainfield East scored two in the bottom of the seventh and forced extra innings in an RBI single by D.J. Donofrio and won it in the ninth on J.J. Zywiciel’s bases-loaded walk.

Hubbard 11, Tilden 0
Josh Mayorga
pitched a four-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts and three walks and went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Carlyle 4, Valmeyer 1
Maverick Taylor
pitched a two-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks and Ryan Rakers went 3-for-3 with two RBI for Carlyle.

Monticello 12, Anna-Jonesboro 0
Logan Hislope
went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI to power Monticello. Tyler Jones struck out 10 while allowing three hits and a walk in four innings to earn the victory.

Midland 9, Mt. Pulaski 8
Will Holler
went 4-for-5 and Nate Schackow and Brody Randle had three hits each as Midland pounded out 17 of them in the eight-inning victory.

Cactus Shadow (Az.) 1, St. Viator 0
In Arizona, six St. Viator pitchers worked an inning without allowing an earned run, but Cactus Shadow scored an unearned one in the bottom of the fourth to prevail. Bobby Pena had two hits for the Lions.

Stillman Valley 3, Fulton 1
Andrew Wilhite
3-for-3, 2 RBIs; VanBriesen 1-for 3, 3B; WP Wilhite; Save Brennan Showers, for Stillman Valley.

Marmion 14, Solorio 4
Chase Stanke
went 3-for-3 with a 2B, HR and 5 RBI’s; Brandon McPherson went 2-for-2, 2 RBI’s and 3 runs; Mike Szalek 2-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI’s and 2 runs to lead Marmion. CF Robert Chayka 3-for-3, 2 SB’s and 2 runs scored to pace Solorio.

Ottawa Marquette 4, Red Bud 0
Bryce Fanti
threw a complete game 3-hit shutout for the Crusaders. Evan Snyder tripled and scored a run. Joe Hawks added two hits in four trips to the plate. Kyle Hentis went 1-for-3 for Red Bed.
