Matt Verdun
pitched a three-hitter to outduel Marius Balandis and lead St. Rita to the championship of the Do It Stevie’s Way tournament. Verdun singled home Charlie Rodriguez with the game’s only run in the first inning. Balandis allowed two hits while striking out eight and walking three. Verdun struck out five and survived five walks in the shutout.

No. 2 Brother Rice 3, Marian Catholic 0
Joe Payton
pitched five innings of two-hit ball and Jake Ridgway added two hitless innings of relief for the save. Ridgway added an RBI single and Jack Payton doubled and scored for the Crusaders. Mark DiLuia allowed one earned run on four hits in six innings for Marian Catholic.

No. 14 Mount Carmel 10, Lockport 0
Bobby Seymour
went 4-for-4 with three doubles and Christian Lucio pitched six innings of three-hit ball, striking out four and walking none. Lucio also tripled and singled in four at-bats and Zion Pettigrew added two hits and two RBI in the victory.

Providence 6, Marist 3
Mike Massaro
doubled and tripled and Ryan Kaup had two hits and scored two runs for the Celtics. Drew Hunniford went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the victory.
