By Ryan Quigley

Christopher DyeO'Fallon senior Chris Dye, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior right-handed pitcher, threw a complete game no-hitter on Monday against Sacred-Heart Griffin to lead the Panthers over the Cyclones 2-0 at O'Fallon's Blazier Field.

Dye has pitched mostly in relief for O'Fallon, but made the most of his third start of the year on Monday.

The unsigned senior struck out three, walked one and hit two as No. 25 O’Fallon took down No. 21 Sacred-Heart Griffin. On the year the righthander is 3-1 in 12 appearances, with a 3.32 ERA. He's allowed only 29 hits in 31 2/3 innings on the season with a 25:13 strikeout-to-walk ratio. For his efforts, Dye has been named this week's Porsche Exchange Player of the Week for May 18-May 25.

O’Fallon enters the playoffs at 26-9, winners of 13 out of their last 14. The Panthers meet Belleville West tonight at 4 pm in the Granite City regional, where they would play the winner of Belleville East and Collinsville if they advance. No. 1 ranked Edwardsville also awaits, and the two rivals could meet in the sectional-semis at Illinois Wesleyan on June 3rd if they both win out.

For his efforts, Dye has been named the Porsche Exchange Player of the Week for the week of May 18-May 25.

The Porsche Exchange salutes Dye's hard work and success.
