Preseason I.D. - Illiana Preview: Roster and Check-in Times

The Prep Baseball Report Preseason I.D. – Illiana at Ho-Chunk Sports and Expo Center in Chicago Heights, IL will take place on Sunday, January 31, 2016.

The open showcase is geared towards all high school classes.

This is a new event to the Prep Baseball Report winter calendar and there currently is a number of prospects from Illinois and Northwest Indiana signed up for the event. Headlining the event is Matthew and Kyle Litwicki brothers from Lake Central HS in Indiana. 6-foot-2, 195-pound Matthew is a 2017 RHP, committed to Indiana and ranked No. 3 in the state of Indiana. As a sophomore this past spring he sat 87-90 mph, touching a few 91’s and a 92 in the first inning. Kyle, the younger brother and a 2018 graduate, is also a right-handed pitcher. He currently comes in at 6-foot-4 and 200-pounds and looks to be following in his brother footsteps on the mound.

One of the better 2019 arms in Illinois will also be in attendance. 6-foot-3, 190-pound RHP Kyle Wisch (Hinsdale Central HS) recently ran his fastball into the mid 80’s with an above-average breaking ball for his age.

A couple of toolsy outfielders in Illinois' 2017 class will also be there on Sunday. Thomas Larson (Families of Faith Christian Academy) ranked No. 90 in Illinois and Miles Simington (Normal Community HS, 2017). Larson runs a 6.72 60, has been clocked at 89 mph from the outfield and has an exit velocity of 91 mph. Simington has present bat speed with future power potential, natural lift in his swing and a 93 mph exit velocity. He also moves well in the outfield and throws have been clocked at 84 mph from the outfield.

Check-In times for the Preseason I.D. - Illiana are as follows:

Position Players:
8:20-8:40 AM

Pitcher Only:
11:20 AM-11:40 AM

Catchers will stay for both sessions as they will also be evaluated while catching bullpens.

The event should end around 11:30 AM for position players. The last pitcher should conclude around 2:00 PM.

Metal Cleats are NOT allowed to be worn in the facility. Please wear turfs or gym shoes.
