As a sophomore at Sandburg, Pall came out of the bullpen one day, pumping fastballs at 83-86 mph and a nasty slider at 78-80. In four innings, he struck out seven. Two years later, it’s his slider that’s sitting near the mid 80s and it’s a wipeout pitch. With dozens of scouts focused on a game filled with potential high-round draft picks at the World Wood Bat Championship, Pall came out of the bullpen sitting 89 and topping out at 90. His slider was on that night, sitting 83-85 with hard break. He also mixed in a 78-mph curveball with late bite.

It was the kind of outing that would make the Michigan coaches nervous. Pall’s 6-foot-2, 205-pound frame and arsenal will surely put him on high on scouts’ watch lists for the spring.
