T.F. South’s Brian Seymour was named the top overall infielder at the event, and eventually committed to South Suburban College. Morris middle infielder Trevor Lines also impressed, and is currently enrolled as a freshman on the baseball team at Creighton University.

Sunday Preview

Several ranked players in Illinois’ 2015 class will be in attendance this Sunday. The following players have made an impression on the PBR Scouting Staff over the last several months:

Lake Forest left-handed pitcher Bryan Bund has already made an impression on the PBR scouting staff over the winter with 84-86 mph fastball, coupled with a hard 75-76 mph slider from a ¾ arm slot, providing a tough angle particularly for left-handed hitters. The rising senior made a significant jump from his last PBR event in July of 2013 where his fastball sat in the 76-77 mph range.

Morgan Park’s Tyler Hill was named the No. 6 overall prospect at October’s Unsigned Senior event, impressing with 90 mph arm strength from the outfield and running a 7.18 60.

Crete-Monee shortstop/outfielder General McArthur impressed at June’s Top Prospect Showcase running a 6.99 60, throwing 90 mph from the outfield, and producing 91 mph exit velocity. The lanky and projectable primary middle infielder also displayed smooth middle infield actions, and has a high ceiling as he adds strength to his frame.

Edwardsville left-handed pitcher Tynan Zeller boasts a wide shouldered, 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame, sitting 78-81 mph with his fastball at August’s Central Illinois Open.

South Elgin right-hander Ryan Weiss sat 81-84 mph back in August at the Unsigned Senior Games, and our scouting staff has had reports of a recent velocity spike.

This event will be the last Unsigned Senior Showcase the Prep Baseball Report will host for the 2015 graduating class. Click Here to view this year’s Unsigned Senior Showcase Roster. Currently 76 prospects are signed up for the event.
