The Unsigned Senior Showcase is coming October 11 to The Max in McCook, IL. This event will bring several of the top uncommitted seniors from the state of Illinois to workout. As we lead up to the event, we will preview several of the top players scheduled to be in attendance.

Second baseman and outfielder Jeremy Gaines, ranked No. 61 in the Illinois Class of 2016, is back on the market after decommitting from Missouri. Solid build 5-foot-9, 170-pound right-handed hitter has impressed at multiple PBR events, most recently the PBR Pro-Case Midwest held at Silver Cross Field in Joliet, IL. Gaines runs a 6.7 60 yard dash.

Scouting Report: 2.15.15 - 5-foot-9, 170-pound athletic right-handed hitting MIF/OF, hits from a crouched, open setup, short stride, long, uphill bat path, bat speed evident, fast twitch, 90 mph exit velocity off the tee, line drives with pull tendencies during batting practice. Defensively, threw 88 mph from the outfield from long, high ¾ arm slot, soft hands fielding the baseball, two-seam run on throws. Threw 81 mph across the diamond from shortstop from, slightly shorter, arm action, soft hands fielding, stays back on the ball at times. Ran a 6.74 60.
