The 2015 high school season is just around the corner.  Leading up to the start of the season we are going to take a quick glance at many teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK

The Griffith Panthers and Head Coach Brian Jennings had a solid 2014 season in which they won a sectional crown and advanced to the Regional Championship game before losing to eventual 3A State Champ Andrean 11-7.  The Panthers return six positional starters and seven arms this spring.  Griffith is led by Junior SS/RHP Kody Hoese, a Tulane commit.  Hoese had an impressive sophomore campaign in which he hit .378 with 26 RBI, 35 Runs and an OBP of .491.  Jennings will look to two other Juniors for big contributions this season in Amir Wright and Anthony Quintero.  Wright finished his sophomore season hitting .333 with 20 RBI and an OBP of .400 while Quintero hit .329 with 1 HR and 25 RBI.  The top returning senior for the Panthers this spring is Josh Terzarial, a 6-foot-4 southpaw.  Terzarial hit .420 as a Junior with 26 RBI, 10 2B and an OBP of .495.  Other seniors expected to make an impact in 2015 are C/3B Robbie Hernandez and RHP/OF Brett Tauber.  The Panthers will have to compete with defending state champ Andrean along with Hobart and Munster in order to stay atop the Northwest Crossroads standings. With a good number of players returning from last year's team, the Panthers should once again compete for a sectional title.
