The 2015 high school season is just around the corner.  Leading up to the start of the season we are going to take a quick glance at many teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK

The North Montgomery Chargers are expected to contend for both a conference and sectional championship in 2015.  They had a solid season last year finishing 19-8 overall and 10-4 in conference play.  Head Coach Matt Merica's team returns seven positional starters and two pitchers this season. They are led by senior SS Maverick Bacon, a four year starter and Ball State signee.  Bacon had an impressive Junior campaign in which he hit .553 with 7 2B and an OBP of .636.  Bacon, who should also see time on the mound, finished the 2014 season with a 3.36 ERA and five saves.  Behind the dish is Junior Baylee Adams, a three year starter who hit .346 as a sophomore.  Three other Juniors are expected to play big roles for the Chargers this season; OF Devon Zachary (3 year starter, .357 BA, 9 2B), RHP/MIF Jordan Lewis (3 year starter, .324 BA, 5-1 on the mound with a 2.03 ERA) and OF Vince Gwynn (.309 BA).  Players expected to see their first varsity innings are sophomores C/OF Gregory Pietsch, 1B/C Bryce Frederick and INF Mitch Merica.
