April 2nd Daily Game Roundup



Indiana Roundup – April 2 

#2 Crown Point 3 Bishop Noll 0 – Ron Plesac got the win on the mound throwing five innings allowing just one hit, one walk, and striking out ten. Noah Burkholder and David Kepshire both worked an inning without allowing a hit. Jake Jatis homered and drove in two runs, Bobby Morgan drove in the other Crown Point run, and Alex Nickla doubled and scored a run. 

#8 Lake Central 6 Munster 4 F/9 – Ryan Polito threw the last 3.1 innings to get the win and improve Lake Central to 2-0 on the season. Anthony Majstorov went 2-4 with a RBI and a run. Cody Brock and Steve Fulk each went 2-5 with a run scored, Fulk also drove in a run. 

#11 Andrean 12 Lowell 0 – Joe Plesac got the win on the mound going five innings allowing just three hits and striking out six. Matt Desomer led the offense going 3-4 with two doubles and two RBI. 

#12 Cathedral 2 #24 Columbus East 0 – Game Story Late Today 

#17 Jasper 5 #12 Bloomington South 3 – Game Story Later Today 

Highland 6 #23 Hobart 2 – Highland trailing 2-1 going into the top of the sixth inning, but put up five runs in the frame to take the lead for good. 

North Central (Indy) 8 Hamilton Southeastern 3 – Game Story Late Today 

Morgan Township 26 Oregon-Davis 3 – Jake Koselke had a game to remember going 4-4 with two triples, two homeruns, five runs scored, and 10 RBI. Will Swisher also had a big game going 3-3 with two doubles, three RBI, and four runs scored. 

Homestead 3 Boonville 2 – Homestead scored three runs in the first inning and that was enough for the pitchers to get the win. Joe Ault got the win throwing four innings giving up two runs. Kyle Plasterer came in in the fifth throwing the last three innings allowing just one hit and striking out four. 

New Palestine 7 Martinsville 6 – New Pal trailed 6-4 going into the sixth, but responded with three runs to get the win. Cameron Clark led the offense going 2-3 with three RBI and a run scored. Nick Ulrey was 2-3 with a double and two runs and Alex Thomas was 2-4 with a double. Connor Swain, Nick Butcher, and Cody Chandler each drove in a run. 

Delta 13 Muncie Burris 1 – Travis Rattray got the win throwing three innings allowing just one hit and striking out five, he also drove in two runs at the plate. Cade Jones led the offense going 2-3 with two triples, two RBI, and two runs. Jacob Sprong was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs and Alex Maloney was 2-3 with a RBI and three runs. 

North Putnam 14 Greencastle 9 – North Putnam trailed 9-3 going into the bottom of the sixth, but responded with an 11 run inning to get the win. Kyler Badten drove in four runs and scored twice. Michael Herrman and Jake Haste each went 2-4, Herrman scored three times and Haste drove in one and scored once. 

Carroll (Flora) 4 Winamac 0 –Jared Miller and Brandon Dillon combined to throw a no hitter. Miller went five innings striking out ten and Dillon went two innings striking out three. Dillon was also doubled, drove in a run, and scored once. Seth Eldridge doubled and drove in a run and Ryan Spesard tripled and scored once. 

Mount Vernon 2 Evansville Reitz 1 – Trevor Veeck got the no decision after throwing five scoreless innings allowing just two hits and a walk, he also drove in one of Mt. Vernon’s two runs. Craig Beed doubled and drove in the other run. Clay ford was 2-3 with a run scored. 

Northview 18 Clay City 5 – Craig Peters got the win throwing 4.2 innings allowing four hits, two earned runs, and striking out seven. Peters was also 2-4 at the plate with a double, four RBI, and two runs scored. Connor Pierce had a big game going 3-4 with two doubles, three RBI, and three runs scored. Devin Clark was 2-2 with a double, two RBI, and four runs and Kyle Moore was 3-5 with a run. 

Northeast Dubois 18 White River Valley 12 – WRV put up a 12 run fourth inning to take a six run lead, but Northeast Dubois responded with three in the bottom of the inning and seven in the fifth to get the lead back for good. Gage Knies led the offense going 3-5 with a double and three RBI. Bryce Huebner was 2-5 with three RBI, Joe Gress and Jace Terwiske both scored four times, and Jacob Gress and Chad Hoffman both homered. 

Silver Creek 8 New Washington 4 – Cameron Cook got the win throwing five innings allowing one run on three hits while striking out seven. Brooks Howell went 2-2 with a double to led the offense. Layne Taylor also had two hits in the game. 

South Newton 11 Milford (IL) 10 – South Newton trailed by five going into the bottom of the 7th, but came up with a six run inning to get the win. Jow Wernert led the offense going 2-3 with a double, three RBI, and a run scored. Luke Kifner went 2-3 with a triple and three RBI, Jarrett Hammel was 2-4 with a double and a RBI, and Kenny Applegate tripled, drove in a run and scored twice. 

Alexandria Monroe 11 Muncie Southside 1 – Donnie Dinehart threw all five innings allowing one unearned run on five hits while striking out eight. Jake Fox led the offense going 3-4 with a double, two RBI, and three runs scored. Derek Dinehart was 1-2 with a double, RBI, and two runs scored. 

Jac-Cen-Del 11 Morristown 1 – Alex Schoettmer got the win throwing three innings striking out all nine batters he faced. Joe Harlemert and Brytton Rogers each drove in two runs, Rogers doubled and scored twice as well. Trent Smith and Trey Brown were both 2-3 with a run scored, Brown doubled and drove in a run. 

Delphi 28 Pioneer 0 – Jason Sterrett got the win throwing four innings allowing just one hit and striking out four. Cody Miller had a big day at the plate going 3-3 with a double and six RBI. Codey Sattler was 3-4 with two doubles, a triple, three RBI, and four runs. Brent Hawn was 4-4 with a double, RBI, and four runs and Erik Carpenter was 3-4 with a double, three RBI, and three runs. Ostin Clark was 2-4 with a double, two RBI, and four runs. 

Griffith 11 Kankakee Valley 4 – Kody Hoese led the offense for Griffith going 3-5 with a double, two RBI, and two runs scored. Kyle Vulkema was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and two runs scored and Robbie Hernandez was 2-3 with a RBI. 

Terre Haute North 6 Sullivan 3 – Gabe Sevigny got the win throwing 5.2 innings allowing one run on three hits while striking out four. Sam Wolf doubled and drove in two runs, Lane Dransfield had a RBI and scored once, and Zach Milam scored three times.
