4A Top 25

No. 1 Floyd Central 9 Carroll 5 – Floyd had 15 hits in the win with six players having two hits. Colton Kimm was 2-4 with two doubles, a RBI, and two runs, Brandon Smith was 2-4 with two RBI and a run, Trey Fulton was 2-3 with a double, RBI, and two runs, and Austin Newell was 2-4 with a double and a RBI. Smith got the win throwing four innings allowing three runs, three hits, and striking out six. 

No. 2 Cathedral 6 No. 17 Lawrence Central 4 – Story later today. 

No. 7 Munster 10 Hammond Clark 0 – Connor Manous, Grant Rademacher, and Joe Bryant combined for a five inning no hitter. Manous and Rademacher each struck out five and walked one in two innings of work and Brant struck out three in his only inning. Patrick Burke was 2-2 with a double and two runs, Tom DeCero was 1-2 with two RBI, and Andrew Jumonville doubled and drove in two runs. 

No. 9 Lake Central 5 Bishop Noll 0 – Bryan Vanderlee threw four shutout innings to pick up the win allowing two hits and striking out six. Ryan Ruthrauff and Alex Nisle each went 2-3 with a RBI and a run, Zack Turnbough was 1-3 with a triple, two RBI, and a run, and Ian Gilford was 1-3 with a RBI. 

No. 12 Crown Point 7 Warsaw 0 – Mark Mazure got the win throwing four shutout innings allowing three hits and striking out five, at the plate he was 1-3 with two RBI. Jon Dietrich was 1-1 with a double, two RBI, and a run, Austin Thomas was 2-3 with a RBI and a run, Alex Basic was 2-3 with two runs, and Mike Waithier was 1-3 with a RBI. 

No. 15 Hobart 6 Washington Township 1 – Alex Batistatos picked up the win throwing five innings allowing one run on four hits while striking out five.

No. 25 Castle 3 Southridge 1 – Addison Smith picked up his first win of the year throwing four innings, allowing two hits, and striking out six. Jon Blackwell threw the final three innings to pick up the save allowing one run and striking out four. Will Randell doubled and drove in two runs and Matt Bertram doubled and scored.

 

3A Top 10

No. 2 Lebanon 6 Laf. Jefferson 0 – David Nastav threw the final four innings to get the win allowing one hit and striking out two. Reid Schaller struck out seven in three hitless innings, at the plate he was 1-3 with two RBI. Jackson Bland doubled and drove in a run, Grant Johnson was 1-3 with a RBI, Wyatt Geisler was 2-2 with a run, and Bryce Shearer was 1-2 with two runs. 

No. 7 Griffith 15 Calumet 1 – Troy Cullen got the win throwing five shutout innings allowing two hits and striking out seven.

 

2A/1A Top 10

Western 5 No. 2 Lafayette Central Catholic 0 – Dalton Leighty threw four shutout innings to get the win allowing two hits and striking out six. Braxton Hunt was 3-3 with a RBI and a run, Brodee Lipinski was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and a run, and Luke Florek doubled and scored. 

Owensboro Catholic (KY) 6 No. 7 South Spencer 1 

Northwestern 5 No. 8 Southwood 2 – Brennan Kelly threw 3.2 innings allowing four hits and striking out three but five unearned runs in the loss. Jake Lloyd doubled and drove in two and Robbie Cole was 2-4 with a double and a run.

Charlestown 8 Plainfield 7 – Jason Houchens was 2-3 with a RBI and a run, Tanner Wesp was 1-3 with two RBI and a run, Ryan Jones was 2-3 with a double and three runs, Brady Hester was 1-3 with a RBI and a run, and Drew Reich double and drove in a run. 

Chatard 10 Southport 0 -  Nick Casey threw all five innings allowing two hits and striking out three to get the win. Brian Ball was 1-3 with two RBI and a run, Wellington was 1-3 with a RBI and two runs, Walker was 1-2 with a RBI, and Wischnowski was 1-2 with a double, RBI, and two runs. 

Cloverdale 6 Southmont 5 – Joey Martin led the offense in the win going 2-4 with a homerun, three RBI, and two runs scored. Duke Duff and Brayden White each had two hits and a run and Brantson Scott was 1-3 with a RBI. Duff got the win throwing the final three innings allowing one unearned run and three hits. Scott threw four innings allowing two hits, no earned runs, and striking out six. 

Concord 10 Lakeland 0 – Branden Curry, Jake Mochamer, and Jake Vernon combined for a five inning no hitter, Curry struck out five in hit two innings of work. Brett Austin had two hits and two RBI, Jake Wirt drove in two runs, and Luke Simon had two hits. 

Edinburgh 13 TC Howe 5 – Eric Cravens was 1-2 with a RBI and three runs, Zach Murphy had two RBI and two runs, Gabe Wilson had two RBI and a run, and Keegan Sida was 2-3 with a RBI and a run. Kyle Armel got the win throwing four hitless innings, allowing one earned run, and striking out 11. 

Fairfield 7 Goshen 2 – Andrew Bobeck got the win throwing a complete game allowing two runs on eight hits, at the plate he had two hits and drove in two runs. Brock Goeglin also had two hits and drove in two runs. 

Mt. Vernon 8 Ev. Central 5 – Logan Brown was 2-3 with two RBI and a run, JD Collins was 2-2 with a RBI and a run, Bryce Krizan had a hit and two runs, and Cody Mobley had a RBI and a run.  Brian Hensley threw two innings in relief to get the win, he didn’t allow a hit and struck out three. 

North Montgomery 10 Benton Central 8 F/10 – Bryce Fredrick was 3-6 with two RBI, Baylee Adams had three RBI and two runs, Jordan Lewis doubled twice and drove in two runs, and Devon Zachary was 3-6 with a double and three runs. Vince Gwynn threw two shutout innings to get the win, not allowing a hit and striking out two. 

Northridge 15 West Noble 4 – Sam Troyer had a big game hitting three homeruns, scoring four times, and driving in five runs. Payton Carson doubled, homered, and drove in two runs and Austin Jackson had two hits and drove in two runs. 

Princeton 4 Tell City 3 – Lance Rumple struck out nine in the win, throwing six innings allowing four hits, and three unearned runs. Shawn Gibson was 1-2 with three runs and Nathan Watkins was 1-3 with a RBI and a run scored. 

Providence 17 Christian Academy 0 – Reece Davis threw a perfect game to get the win, striking out 10. Jake Lewis led the offense going 3-3 with a double, triple, four RBI, and two runs. Davis was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and a run and Jay Lorenz was 2-2 with a RBI and two runs. 

South Central 18 River Forest 1 – South Central scored in four of their five innings, including an eight run fifth. RJ Snyder led the offense going 2-4 with a double and four RBI and Seth Carlson was 2-3 with a double and three RBI. Noah Easton struck out eight in the win throwing all five innings allowing one run on two hits. 

Wawasee 19 Bethany Christian 8 – Wawasee had 14 hits and scored multiple runs in five of six innings. Harrison Shortstill had a double, homerun, and six RBI to lead the offense. Caleb Dingeldein had three hits and drove in three runs and Brett Carson and Gage Reinhard each had two hits and two RBI. 

Western 5 No. 2 Lafayette Central Catholic 0 – Dalton Leighty threw four shutout innings to get the win allowing two hits and striking out six. Braxton Hunt was 3-3 with a RBI and a run, Brodee Lipinski was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and a run, and Luke Florek doubled and scored. 

Westville 6 Covenant Christian 5 – Cody Combs doubled and drove in two runs, Brady Albert was 2-3 with a RBI and a run, Eric McClintock drove in two runs and scored once, and Riley Cuma was 1-3 with a RBI and a run. Cuma got the win striking out 16 allowing two earned runs and four hits.
