Director, PBR Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS---The Lawrence North Wildcats knocked off defending Sectional 10 champion, Roncalli, last night 14-10.  Lawrence North led the Rebels throughout, and at one point held a nine run lead.

Junior Max Gray recorded the win for the Wildcats.  The right-hander, ranked No. 18 in Indiana’s 2014 class, struck out nine in four innings of work.  He was able to keep the Rebels hitters off balance with his mid to upper 80’s fastball and devastating curve ball.

In our Sectional 10 Preview, I mentioned that errors and hitting had been detrimental for LN throughout the season.  Last night, however, LN ‘s offense broke out totaling 15 hits and scored a season high 14 runs.  The Wildcat defense played better than they have as of late, making two errors.

Junior John Scheil led the offensive onslaught, going 4-4 at the plate with 4 Runs, and 2 RBI.  Senior Brady Boles ended his night going 3-4 with 3 RBI.

Roncalli Sophomore Tyler Schoettle had a good evening at the plate going 3-4 with 3 RBI.

Lawrence North will play the winner of No. 2 Cathedral and Arsenal Tech tonight at Roncalli. Cathedral and Tech will play at 4 pm.
