Fishers, IN--The North Central Panthers and Hamilton Southeastern Royals squared off last night with two seniors taking the mound.  Michigan commit Mac Lozer got the start for the Panthers, while 6-foot-2, unsigned senior LHP Nathan Upchurch started for the Royals.

Lozer looked good in his four innings of work striking out seven, and giving up only 2 hits.  The North Central senior sat 84-85 mph most of the night with his fastball, and threw his breaking ball with good consistency at 68-72 mph, getting a lot of swing and misses.  Upchurch threw three innings, striking out four, and gave up three hits.

North Central's Roman Baisa started things off for the Panthers in the top of the first with a triple to right, and eventually scored on a past ball to give North Central the early 1-0 lead.  Hamilton Southeastern quickly responded with two runs in the bottom of the first on a wild pitch and a passed ball to take a 2-1 lead heading into the second.

North Central senior Demetrius Webb, committed to Indiana University, hit a triple in the top of the second inning to get things going offensively for the Panthers.  Webb was quickly brought in by Jensen Kirch's RBI single, tying the game a 2-2. Baisa's sac fly to right later in the inning gave North Central a one run lead at 3-2.

The Royals were able to tie the game at 3-3 in the bottom half of the second on Matt Nash's RBI single.

North Central never surrendered the lead after the fourth inning, scoring three more runs.

In the fifth, the Panthers brought home one more run on an RBI triple by senior Andrew Sullivan, scoring Kirch.  The Panthers would add one more run in the sixth to give North Central a commanding 8-3 lead, which was eventually the final score.

The highlight of the night for Hamilton Southeastern was junior catcher, Matt Nash.  Nash finished the game going 2-4 with an RBI.  Sinclair commit, Mitch Roman, finished the night 1-3 with a run scored.

Senior Jensen Kirch led the Panthers offensively going 3-4 with an RBI.  Gui Earlywine, a 2014 outfielder for North Central, finished the night going 2-3 at the plate with an RBI and a walk, while Andrew Sullivan was 1-3 with 3 RBI.  Roman Baisa completed his night going 1-4 with 2 RBI.
