Scouting Report: This will be the first Prep Baseball Report event for McDermott, but not the first time we will have seen him in action.  Last spring we saw him in a short two inning relief appearance where the fastball was 81-82 with some movement.  On that day is showed a slow curveball at 62-64 with big break and thrown for a strike. His changeup that day was 74-76.  He pitched from a 3/4 slot with a clean, loose arm action.  We again saw him in October where he was 83-85 with the FB, 66-70 with the CB and a consistent 77 mph CH.  His arm speed is quick and clean and projects to have a lot more velo in the tank.
