Scottsburgh HS

The Scottsburg Warriors return five starters and two pitchers from a 2012 team that struggled. Head Coach Al Rabe will look to guide the Warriors through another likely rebuilding year and try to establish a core to build on for the future. The Warriors finished the 2012 season with an overall record of 8-20 and a 1-9 conference record that landed Scottsburg at the bottom of the Mid-Southern Conference.

Leading returns for Coach Rabe include a couple of seniors in Trevor Tutterow and Logan Mullins. Tutterow is a right-hander pitcher who will lead the rotation while also starting at third base. Mullins led the Warriors in hitting last season as a junior and will start in the outfield. Sophomore Kyle Baker will start in the infield and be a key in the rotation after gaining valuable experience as a freshman.

Eastbrook HS

The Eastbrook Panthers, led by Head Coach Todd Farr, return to action this spring after a successful 2012 which saw the Panthers claim a Central Indiana Conference title. Eastbrook finished last season with a 15-10 overall record and a 5-2 mark in conference play. Coach Farr returns three starters and three pitchers for 2013 as the Panthers look to rebuild and defend their Central Indiana Conference title.

Leading the way for Eastbrook in 2013 will be senior shortstop Heath Brooksher and junior first baseman Nathan Shaw.

Peru HS

The Peru Tigers finished the 2012 season with a disappointing 5-21 overall record and a 1-6 finish in the Mid-Indiana Conference. Head Coach Eric Isenburg is optimistic about his team for the upcoming season. Five starters and five pitchers return from last year’s squad. The Tigers lineup will be young as five sophomores will start along with one junior and two seniors.

The upperclassmen who will provide the experience are seniors Joe Comerford (1B/DH), Kreighton Ray (C/OF), and junior Matt McKinney (SS/C/RHP). The group of sophomores expected to contribute in 2013 are Nolan Brimbury (IF/RHP), Logan Primerano (LHP/OF), and Michael Richardson (UTL, RHP).
