2017 TEAM PREVIEW: Bishop Dwenger Saints

2016 Record: 20-12
Conference (2016 Record):  SAC (8-6)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/3

2017 Team Strengths:

• Grant Richardson, LHP/OF, 2018 (Indiana commit, right)
• Jack Beeber, SS/RHP, 2017 (Earlham Commit)
• Will Staudinger, 2B/SS, 2017
• Jimmy Shea, C/1B, 2017
• Sam Taylor, RHP, 2017

Outlook: The Saints are coming off a 20 win season and Sectional Championship. They return five starters and three arms in 2017.  The Saints are led by Junior Grant Richardson, a legitimate two-way prospect at the next level. They have experience with their four seniors, but will be looking to several underclassmen for strong contributions.   Dwenger will have to compete with Northrop, Snider and Bishop Luers to finish towards the top of the SAC.
