2017 TEAM PREVIEW: valparaiso vikings

Class: 4A
2016 Record: 15-15
Conference (2016 Record):  Duneland Athletic Conference
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/2

2017 Team Strengths:

• Defense
• Team Speed

Top Returning Players:

• Billy Baldwin, INF, 2017
• Seamus Welsh, LHP, 2017
• Ray Kreloff, RHP, 2017
• Gunnar Pullins, SS/RHP, 2018 

Outlook:   Valparaiso brings back 4 defenders and two pitchers following a 15-15 season.  Seamus Welsh will look to be a reliable arm on the mound for Coach Evans. Billy Baldwin enters another year up the middle for a strong defensive group.  Coach Evans knows some new faces will need to mature throughout the spring, but trusts his players to fill the roles that are needed.
