Sowers finished his high school career ranked No. 3 in Indiana's 2014 rankings and No. 19 in PBR's overall 2014 rankings.

SCOUTING REPORT

With his frame, power and speed, Sowers was a breakout candidate heading into the Super 60 and only helped himself with the performance he turned in. Players that stand at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds, don’t typically have speed as a strength, but Sowers moves well for his size and recorded a 6.81 60. He has good athleticism and may be able to hold down center field in college, but his set of tools profiles for a corner outfield spot at the pro level. His barrel points slightly toward the backstop in his setup and he has a slight arm bar, but Sowers has obvious strength in his swing that generates good backspin and power. He showed solid arm strength, hitting 84 mph from the outfield.
