On June 24-25 PBR Indiana hosted the second annual Top Prospect Games at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN on the beautiful all-turf Bart Kaufman field.

Indiana's Top Prospect Games has quickly established itself as one of the premier events in the Midwest with over 100 players participating in the event each of the last two years. 

Below we take a look at notes on players from Team Gold: 

In Alphabetical Order by First Name

Andrew Atchison,  C, Crown Point HS, 2015; 6 foot  2 inches/ 195 pounds, 4.65-H-1^st,  2.08-2.16 pop time.  Athletic, long arm catcher throws strikes to second base. Average hands, quick feet with a clean ball exchange. Hits from a balanced stance with a short smooth stride. Average bat speed with a slight upper cut. Has the strength to hit for power.

Beau Ayres, MIF, Evansville North HS, 2016; 5 foot – 8 inches/ 145 pounds, 4.86-H-1^st, Athletic frame, long arm action with throws to first base on target with carry (75 MPH).  He has average hands, fluid feet and a clean ball exchange, Good actions. Hits from a balanced stance with a slight load and short stride. He has average bat speed with a level path to the ball and good extension through contact.  Gap to gap type hitter. With added strength he could hit for power.

Brooks Ullery, MIF, Mishawaka Penn HS, 2015; 5 foot-10 inches/ 160 pounds, 4.40 –H-1^st,   Bats left/ throws right. 83mph across the infield, throws  are on target with carry. He has soft hands, fluid feet, good actions and a clean ball exchange. Athletic, fields his position real well. At the plate he had some swagger. Balanced hitting stance with a short smooth stride, fast bat speed with extension through contact. Gap to gap type hitter. 

Cam Curry, RHP/OF,Columbus East HS, 2015; 6 foot 3 inches/ 200 pounds, 4.63-H-1^st,  Fastball sat 87 MPH  with downhill plain, from a ¾ arm slot with loose, quick arm action, good balance and a effortless delivery. Curveball was 71-73 with late break. Threw 84 mph from the outfield, Hit from a balance stance with a slight upper cut.

Christian Beard, RHP/MIF, Roncalli HS, 2015; 6 foot – 3 inches/ 190 pounds, 4.75-H-1^st. Long, quick ¾ arm delivery, fastball was 80-84 with heavy downhill plain and consistently in the strike zone. Curveball  was 66-70 with gradual break. Offensively he hits from a balanced stance with a short stride, average bat speed and extension through contact. Pull hitter with some power. Athletic player.

Cody Burton, RHP/C, Columbus North HS, 2015; 6 foot – 195 pounds, 4.41-H-1^st, 2.05-2.16 pop time. On the mound he  throws his fastball 84-85 with a loose, easy ¾ arm delivery. Late breaking curveball (66-68). Athletic and throws two pitches for strikes. Above average catcher that moves well behind the plate, has above average feet with a quick exchange. Hits from a balanced stance with a short stride. Average bat speed, gap to gap type hitter.

Dane Baldwin, 3B/RHP, Crawfordsville HS, 2016;  6 foot- 3 inches/ 185 pounds, Bats left, throws right, 4.76-H-1^st, Short arm, with average arms strength from 3b, throws were on target. Average hands and feet. Hits from a balanced stance with a short smooth stride, average bat speed, line drive type hitter. On the mound fastball is 77-78 with sink, curveball is 64-65 with some late break. Athletic player.

Drew Campbell, OF, Jeffersonville HS, 2016; 5 foot- 7 inches/ 135 pounds, L/L, 4.5-H-1^st, Long, ¾ arm action from the outfield, Average arm strength with good hands and good ball exchange. At the plate he hits from a balanced stance with a long stride and a slight top hand wrap. Average bat speed on a level path. Gap to gap type hitter with a good feel for hitting.

Dylan Scott, OF/3B, South Bend St. Joe HS. 2015; 6 foot – 1 inch/ 200 pounds, L/R, 4.80-H-1^st, throws 86 from Right field with a ¾ slot and on target. He has average hands, fluid footwork and a clean ball exchange. Hits from a open stance with a short stride, generates fast bat speed, line drive type hitter that had quality at bats during games,

Cameron Beauchamp, LHP/OF, Peru HS,2016; 6 foot- 2 inches/ 195 pounds, 4.78-H-1^st. Athletic LHP  that fields his position well. High ¾ arm slot, quick, loose delivery, 83-84 mph fastball that was consistently in the strike zone with sink. Slider was 69-71 with sharp break.  Offensively he hits for power from a balanced stance with a long stride, ball explodes off the bat. Pull/power type hitter. With added strength he will be a solid college player.

James Spera, Of/1B, Norwell HS, 2015; 5 foot-11 inches/ 190 pounds, L/R, 4.53-H-1^st left side. Strong, athletic frame with wide shoulders, plays hard. Short, quick arm action, throws were on target. Average hands and feet.  Hits from a balanced stance with a long, smooth stride, he generates fast bat speed with extension through contact. Gap to gap type hitter. Bat will carry.

Kody Hoese, MIF, Griffith HS, 2016; 6 foot – 3 inches/ 165 pounds, 4.75-H-1^st, Plus actions at SS, short, quick arm action, 83 mph across the infield with carry and on target. Soft hands with quick feet and a clean ball exchange.  Hits from a balanced stance with a long smooth stride, ball explodes off the bat with good extension, pull /power type hitter. Nice player with a huge upside.

Kyle Matter, MIF/RHP, Cardinal Ritter HS, 2015; 5 foot- 11 inches/165 pounds, 5.03-H-1^st, 75 mph across the infield, long arm action, throws on target. Fluid feet. Hits from a balanced stance with a short stride, fast bat, line drive type hitter.  On the mound he was 80-81 with heavy downhill plain, slows his arm to throw his curveball (69-70) with sharp break. Delivery has rhythm, athletic player.

Matt Potter, 3B/1B,South Bend St. Joe HS, 2015; 6 foot/ 200 pounds, L/R, 4.79-H-1^st, Athletic frame. Long arm with soft hands, throws from 3b were on target. Hits from a balanced stance with a long stride, average bat speed and a slight upper cut. Pull/Power type hitter.

Matt Owens, C, FW Carroll HS, 2016; 5 foot – 7 inches/ 160 pounds, 4.65-H-1^st, 2.05-2.20 pop times. Scrappy, athletic catcher. Very confident player. Short arm action, throws consistently on target to 2b, Moves well behind the plate with quick feet and good ball exchange. Hits from a balanced stance with a short stride, average bat speed on a level plan, slap type hitter.

Nick Handlon, RHP/OF, Avon HS, 2015; 6 foot- 1 inch/ 185 pounds, 4.53-H-1^st,  Athletic RHP, throws from a ¾ slot, fastball is 84-85 with occasional sink, slider is 74-77 with late break and consistently in the strike zone. From the outfield he threw 84mph with average carry and on target. He is a aggressive hitter, hits from an open stance with a long stride and good extension through contact, pull/power type hitter.

Trevor Snyder, 3B/OF, FW Carroll HS, 2015; 6 foot-3 inches/ 185 pounds, 4.72-H-1^st, strong athletic player. Long ¾ arm throws from 3b were on target. He has average hands, quick feet and a clean ball exchange. At the plate he made adjustments real well, hits off speed pitches.  Has a balanced stance with a long stride, fast hands with a slight upper cut, pull/power type hitter.

Tyler Reeves, RHP, Crawfordsville HS, 2016; 6 foot- 2 inches/ 185 pounds, RHP that comes at hitters with a low ¾ slot, with short arm action. Max effort type pitcher.  Fastball is 78-80 and in the zone. Slider was 72-73 with gradual break.
