Name: Travis Mears
High School: Brownsburg

Position: SS
Height: 6-1
Weight: 180

State Ranking: 58

The 6-foot-1, 180 pound Mears is a strong, athletic middle infielder with some arm strength.  Across the diamond at the Top Prospect Games this June he was 83 mph with carry.  Defensively he shows athletic actions with soft hands and above average feet.  At the plate he starts from a balanced setup with a high back elbow.  His stride is short and gets good use of the lower half.  Mears shows above average bat speed with the ability to barrel up the baseball and drive the gaps. At the Top Prospect Games he registered an exit velo of 86 mph.
