OUTLOOK:

Turner must replace most of their team from a year ago including three All-Kaw Valley League performers.  Clearly the door is wide open for new faces to step up.  Fortunately for Golden Bears they do return All-League pitcher in Corey Cowan which is a good start.  In addition, they have one of the top class of 2017 prospects in the Midwest, if not the nation, in Nolan Williams, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound, switch-hitting shortstop.  Williams opened a lot of eyes this January with his performances at the PBR Underclass Invitational and the Johnson County Community College Showcase flashing across the board tools that made jaws drop – despite the fact he is yet to play a game in high school, he’s already squarely on the radar screen of major college coaches and MLB scouts.
