As  we  prepare  for  the  upcoming  2016  high  school  season,  we  will  be  taking  a
preseason glimpse at programs from around the state.

Season Outlook
Rock Creek will look to defend their State Championship from last season, behind second year head coach, Shane Sieben.  The Mustangs will return the 4A-II Pitcher of the Year in senior RHP Caleb Rogge.  Rogge, a Cowley County commit, posted a 7-0 record in 2015 with 5 saves and an 0.56 ERA.  He will be supported by two other returners with 2015 post-season honors.  Senior OF Nick Beyer and sophomore SS Carson Zenger.  Beyer was an All-State selection a year ago and Zenger is emerging as one of top shortstops in his class.  The Mustangs also look for increase roles from sophomore C Tucker Gehrt, senior 3B/1B Kyle Riffel and junior 2B/SS Cooper Schlochtermeier.  The trio will have a big impact on the success of the season.  Rock Creek will be the target of many teams in their class.  After only losing two games in 2015, the bar is set high for the Mustangs in 2016.
