Season Outlook
The Rockets will return nine position players and four pitchers from from a the 2015 team that finished 16-8 and third place in state in Class 4A. Rose Hill also returns ten players that earned post season honors last year.  They will be loaded with seniors and will be considered as one of the top teams to contend for the state title this spring.  The Rockets will have two top pitchers that will eat up most of their innings this year. Junior RHP Griffin McBride finished the season with a 4-0 record and a 1.58 ERA and senior P Corey Cotten finished with a 4-1 record and a 2.31 ERA.  Rose Hill will also feature one of the top juniors in the state in Nate ScantlinScantlin is a plus-runner and a lefty hitter. Senior DH Sam Grant will add another lefty hitter to the middle of the line-up.  Grant earned 2nd Team All-State honors last season.  Barton County commit, senior C Brett Bonar start behind the plate the plate season for the Rockets.  Bonar is one of the state's top catchers, and provide the Rockets with another lefty bat. Over the past two seasons, Rose Hill has compiled a record of 33-15 and have finished the last two seasons, both seasons ending in a third place finish at the state tournament.  Look for Rockets to take the next step this spring.
