Manhattan, KS - Prep Baseball Report has announced that three class of 2014 Kansas high school baseball players have been selected to attend the 12th Annual Super 60 Pro Showcase event in McCook, Illinois on Sunday February 2, 2014.

Catchers Tanner Gragg (Blue Valley West HS) and TJ Martin (Blue Valley Southwest HS) along with right-handed pitcher Zack Engelken (Blue Valley West HS) represent the first three prospects from Kansas high schools to ever attend the Super 60.

Gragg and Martin are both University of Kansas signees while Engelken signed with the Nebraska Cornhuskers this Fall.  All three prospects play for the Building Champions Academy out of Overland Park, KS and were members of the Kansas City Royals Elite Scout Team this fall.

In the summer of 2012 Engelken played for Team Missouri in the Prep Baseball Report Midwest Futures Games powered by Under Armour in Champaign, Illinois.

The prestigious Super 60 features only the top players from the 10-state Prep Baseball Report coverage area: Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Wisconsin.  Over the last 11 years the Super 60 has become the most heavily scouted preseason event for potential Major League Baseball draft picks in the Midwest.

The primary purpose of the Super 60 is to give professional area scouts, cross-checkers and scouting directors a head start in their evaluation of seniors in high school that have the potential to be drafted.

Last year, 76 Major League Baseball scouts of all levels were in attendance.  Since the event’s inception, more than 135 players have been selected in the Major League Baseball Draft including 38 players drafted in the top ten rounds.

The Super 60 roster is being finalized and will be made public on the Prep Baseball Report main website in January along with in-depth features on each prospect attending.
