Kentucky Pitcher of the Week: Boyle County RHP Addison Coffey

By Chris Fuller

Boyle County senior right-hander Addison Coffey picked up two wins last week in getting off to a hot start for the Rebels this spring.

In starts against Franklin County and Prestonsburg, Coffey worked 12 innings, allowing just six hits and two earned runs while racking up 18 strikeouts. Perhaps even more impressive than that stat line, is the one lone walk he issued in those 12 innings of work. The recipe for winning games starts with pitchers who throw strikes, and Coffey certainly did that in his two wins last week.

With eighth round draft selection Micah Miniard now a member of the Cleveland Indians organization, Coffey has taken over the role of ace of the Boyle County staff. He has proven to be just that thus far this spring.

For his performance on the field last week, Addison Coffey has been selected as the PBR Kentucky Pitcher of the Week.
